Affiliate marketing is not easy. There, I said it. Anybody who says it is, is smoking that funny stuff. Having said that, by avoiding a few things that most affiliate marketers can’t seem to help but bungle along the way to disaster, you might actually give yourself a good chance of being successful. Personally, I [...]
We have written about the market danger posed by government sponsored, yet privately-owned, mortgage behemoths Fannie Mae (FNM) and Freddie Mac (FRE) numerous times in the history of this blog. Here are examples from November 2007, July 2007, and April 2007.

With all the fanfare surrounding the release of Firefox 3 and the setting of a new world record for downloads, the fact that many people are having problems with Firefox instability seemed to get lost in the shuffle… so I decided to write up a list of troubleshooting methods that might help solve your problems. There's a number of reasons for Firefox 3 crashing, which could include any of these

Crashing ConceptsThe basic idea of a seatbelt is very simple: It keeps you from flying through the windshield or hurdling toward the dashboard when your car comes to an abrupt stop. But why would this happen in the first place? In short, because of inertia. Inertia is an object's tendency to keep moving until something else works against this motion. To put it another way, inertia is every object'
You have to wonder which shoe is going to drop first: the oil price or Wall Street? A sell-off in stocks last night might well be the start of a serious correction for US equities which look particularly overvalued given the obvious strains now showing in the US economy.

There are 2 urgent alerts detected! 1st would be Firefox. Lately, I've noticed that my Firefox seems to miss its footing more and more often. It crashes now and then. I wonder why? Is it because of bugs? I'm not sure what is going. Each time I browse or blogging, Firefox seems to suck out almost all my RAM. Even sometimes it uses all the CPU power. Gosh, what is happening? It had became really
(ok that’s exaggerating)I remember there’s this dude who said- “You’ve no reason to be unhappy because you have everything”; whenever I was feeling down. I often ask where did he come up with that hypothesis? He said it’s because more often than not I always get the stuff that I want. I reckon he’s referring to material stuff here. But what good is all that? Are those things supposed to make me happy?Btw dude, you’re wrong coz I don’t have everything. Do I have an iPod Touch? No. Do I have a LV bag? No. Do I have a beemer? No. Do I have my own place? No. So how could I possibly have everything?Anyway, point is- I don’t agree with that fella’s theory. Suka hati je cakap. I have bad days like other people do. I have my own problems too. Issues with work, people at work

Everything ran fine for years and then all of the sudden the walls seem to come crashing down on you. That doesn’t mean that the wall crash down on you literally but that customers are leaving, expenses are rising and you business is going down in the gutter. Frustrated you work harder to keep it up and running but you can’t stop the decline. You think to yourself, “How and I going to stop the bleeding?”If you have ever read Animal Farm you may come to the conclusion that if the mule keeps working he wears himself out but doesn’t really accomplish much more. The mule works himself into the ground and finds out that all of his work was really in vain because nothing has changed. The mule’s impression is that if he works harder everything will get better. In the end the mule died
Hansen Natural (HANS) was one of last year's big winners. The company's high-powered sodas powered the stock to bubbly heights. But the stock is coming off of its caffeinated highs.HANS was up by well over 1,000% between 2005 and last year. It was one of the momentum favorites in the market. But like all other parabolic rises, the run has come to an end.The bursting of the HANS bubble is due to two factors that I can find: increased competition and costs. Late last year, I noticed more and more highly caffeinated sodas showing up in grocery stores and gas stations. Clearly more companies are capitalizing on the caffeine craze, which is hurting Hansen's margins. Also, rising commodity prices are pressuring the company, especially corn and aluminum prices. The increasing pressure on marg

If your computer is running slow, freezing or crashing there could be many reasons that are causing the problem. The smart thing to do is take one step at a time and find out if that is the cause of the problem then move on to the next step. One reason could be your internet cookies and files. As you visit sites on the web your browser keeps track of these and over time they build up, the more of these cookies and files that are saved, the slower your computer runs and if you don't do anything at all with them over a period of time, your computer could come almost to a stand still.Another problem is spyware. Some sites want to keep track of what you're doing on your computer and they install spyware and adware when you visit their site. Again, over time you could have hundreds of spyware p

Because of the previous scene which I trimmed my hair a day before that, I took the trouble to trim my hair again a month after when I was on a tight schedule just for the next day's filming. Usually, I would only trim my hair every couple of months. On the actual day, Tuesday, they called me in the morning to say that the scene was postponed to the next week. They could not even give me an exact time. That was really stupid. I took up the first scene when I was jobless and at that point of time I did not mind if they were fickle-minded because I could re-schedule my own time for doing my own websites. And for the first scene, they made me go there earlier than scheduled time suddenly and I waited for around two and a half hour. I heard from those old part-timers that it was not so messy in the past. The fact was that the lowly paid job could only fill at most three days per month and they should never expect me to give up my other job for them. It was not even half of what I had to give
How many times can you deny being in a bad mood, before it dawns on you that you really ARE in a bad mood? I think I really am the queen of denial, as I’ve been telling myself and others for days I am happy, I am just fine. It dawned on me a little while ago as I walked into my bathroom, shut the door and broke down crying that Duh!, I’m really not just fine. People who are just fine don’t start randomly crying in their bathrooms for no reason.
It sounds stupid, but I really didn’t realize it was happening. I felt fine, albeit a little edgy, but overall as close to ‘normal’ as I usually am. I have managed to carry on this self-delusion because in my somewhat twisted view I have no reason to be falling off the wagon of normality. If I have no reason then it can’t be happening, right? Finances are looking better, husband and I are getting along, and we just came back from a great vacation most people don’t ever get to take. What could possi
Virtually zero. Quoting from the text "The Solar System" by Encrenaz andBibring, (1990) "...Pluto never comes closer to Neptune than 2.5 thousandmillion kilometers... The fact that the periods of Neptune are in a simpleratio is the result of a dynamical resonance that has been discoveredrecently, and which corresponds to a stable state: any modification of thetrajectory under the influence of an external perturbation would be followedby a return to the present state of equilibrium."
Because its traditional supporters are certainly bailing out fast. Take the business sector for example:From the WSJGOP Is Losing Grip on Core Buisness VoteWASHINGTON -- The Republican Party, known since the late 19th century as the party of business, is losing its lock on that title. New evidence suggests a potentially historic shift in the Republican Party's identity -- what strategists call its "brand." The votes of many disgruntled fiscal conservatives and other lapsed Republicans are now up for grabs, which could alter U.S. politics in the 2008 elections and beyond. Some business leaders are drifting away from the party because of the war in Iraq, the growing federal debt and a conservative social agenda they don't share. In manufacturing sectors such as the auto industry, some Republicans want direct government help with soaring health-care costs, which Republicans in Washington have been reluctant to provide. And some business people want more government action on global warmi
U.S. home foreclosures soar in Augustby AP - 9/18/07 snips:The number of foreclosure filings reported in the U.S. last month more than doubled versus August 2006 and jumped 36 percent from July, a trend that signals many homeowners are increasingly unable to make timely payments on their mortgages or sell their homes amid a national housing slump. A total of 243,947 foreclosure filings were reported in August, up 115 percent from 113,300 in the same month a year ago, Irvine, Calif.-based RealtyTrac Inc. said Tuesday. There were 179,599 foreclosure filings reported in July. The filings include default notices, auction sale notices and bank repossessions. Some properties might have received more than one notice if the owners have multiple mortgages... The national foreclosure rate last month was one filing for every 510 households, the company said. "The jump in foreclosure filings this month might be the beginning of the next wave of increased foreclosure activity, as a large number o
If you've ever experienced IE crashing.. you know its not a good thing. Here's how you can stop the famous Internet Explorer from crashing over and over..If you have the latest version of IE and know that you shouldn’t be using IE all the time, please skip to the How to fix Internet Explorer section I apologize for the stuff about Firefox that you might already know…First off, you really shouldn’t be using Internet Explorer 6 or even 7 a lot. Why you ask? Because it is less secure, slower and outdated, especially if you’re using the older version of Internet Explorer, IE Version 6.I highly recommend you get Firefox... because its better go check it out!Use it as your primary browser and only use IE 7 (that’s the latest version) only when needed. However, sometimes you might need to use Internet Explorer for things such as Microsoft Updates. If you window looks like the picture below. Don’t even bother reading the article… unless you upgrade to Firefox first because it

Here is a screen shot of my brand new Intuit QuickBooks Pro 2007 crashing after it is installed. Jack Thompson talks about “murder simulators” all the time. He’s usually referring to games like Counter-Strike: Source (MaximusPaynicus) and Grand Theft Auto. This would be annoying in and of itself, to be sure, but now there seems to actually be a video game that is committing MURDER! …murdering Xbox 360s, that is.

I am very tired right now. I am seriously contemplating taking a dip in the pool, if for no other reason that the sight of me in trunks will freak out the neighborhood kids and make them run home screaming for their mamas, thus ensuring that the pool is mine for the night.Still, the past two days have been rather interesting. On the positive side, I've been working, which doesn't seem all that great until one realizes that working beats not working any day of the week. This job may have been physically taxing, but at least I got some exercise, not to mention how nice the morning walks to the Starbucks across the parking lot have been. And I have another job for at least the next two to four weeks, so I'll able to eat for the next month, at least. On the negative side, every single muscle in my back and legs is telling me that I went fifteen rounds with Godzilla. I have over 900 feed items waiting for me once again in the old reader. And it looks like blogging during the week is

Former New York Giants and Washington linebacker LaVar Arrington was reportedly in stable condition in a Maryland hospital after crashing his motorcycle on Monday. The three time Pro Bowl Linebacker was expected to stay at the hospital at least through Tuesday morning. According to Maryland State Police Arrington lost control of his vehicle and hit a guard rail. Police do not know what speed he was traveling at when the mishap occurred.
Arrington suffered some broken bones in the crash according to a statement released by his attorney. He was cited by the police for driving without a proper license, and failure to control speed to avoid a collision.Arrington was drafted in the first round by Washington in the 2000 NFL Draft and was a starter there until signing with the Giants before last season. He was released by New York in February, and is still unsigned. Arrington was still recovering from an Achilles tendon injury that forced him to miss ten games last year.

The Indian stock market fueled by American and European financial institutions faces the biggest bubble burst in the history. The CSI 300 Index dropped 292.52, or 7.7 percent, to close at 3511.43. After the government tripled the tax on share trades to 0.3 percent, Chinese stick market has tumbled 16 percent from its May 29 peak.Indian and other emerging markets are in deep trouble too. I found an article from the How-To Geek about how to figure out why your computer is crashing. With Windows 2000 or Windows XP, there was no easy way to tell what exactly was causing the problem: software applications, hardware or Windows itself! Now in Vista you can see your computer crashes and failures in a nice little graph that categorizes the failures and keeps count! It also keeps track of software installs/uninstalls and creates a summary report for a specified date range. You can get to the Reliability Monitor by clicking on Performance and Reliability Monitor in Administrative Tools. Or you can simply type in perf in the Start Menu search box. You can use this new feature to try and coincide a particular software install with the start of your computer crashes. If you look at the graph and see that a week ago you started to see problems and the number of system crashes rose, then you can check out that date and you might find you installed a software application that's not on
This is an excellent piece from Right Wing Nuthouse on how the Edwards capaign has made a major screw up by hiring Amanda Marcotte as their "Blogmaster". I've read some of her screeds and its amazing the Edwards campaign got within 10 miles of her. I would suspect a minor member of the campaign team suggested her for the job and the senior members didn't know any better. They would likely have pointed to Pandagon as proof of her success. This was a really crappy vetting process and is an excellent example of how liberals just don't get it. How could any thinking person read her rants and think it would be a positive for any campaign? There's a term for what they did: Stepping on their collective dicks. She will now be dropped like a hot rock. The bad part is that this will give the rest of the blogosphere a black eye. Tired Of Your Computer crashing, Everytime you Really Needed It Most? It's a problem that most everybody encounters from time to time, depending on how often, and how hard you run it! Most of us either blame it on the server,or restart it!!! That was the road I took for quite a while, but after having to buy a new one from time to time, I decided to investigate! Being a small time internet junkie, I started to "surf" the "Web" looking for answers. Of course there are "TONS" of Companies out ther offering all kinds of "Quick Fixes", and of course I had already subscribed to all of the "BIG" anti virus Companies, None of them ever did me any good!! They are fine for a while, but as time goes by, and the "bad guys" keep coming up with new Tricks, they have a tendency to start to "lag" in preformance!! No Big Deal! Right? Well let me tell you what's up!So what did I do? I went Shopping! and what an education that was, dozens upon dozens of all kinds of offers! So what do you do?
Hats off to the bears that nailed this one. The market iscrashing today. If we close at current levels we are seeinga 95% spike in the VXO, a TRIN reading of 12, and a 2-dayRSI reading of 2. Not sure about the stats but I can't aone day decline this viscious since the 1998 August 31stMini-Crash. I sure didn't see this one coming. So, maybethe bears are right and sentiment doesn't work anymore

Nearly 30% of logged Vista crashes were due to NVIDIA driver problems, according to a Microsoft data included in the bundle. That’s some 479,326 hung systems, if you’re keeping score at home, and it’s in first place by a large margin — Microsoft clocks in at number two at 17.9 percent, and ATI is fourth with 9.3 percent. The data points in the table cover an unspecified period in 2007, and Microsoft makes no attempt to break the aggregate data down into which device drivers, specifically, returned the highest number of crashes. If the number of failures were split by month and then graphed, we’d presumably see the number of NVIDIA driver failures per month decreasing as the company slowly brought its driver issues under control.
The data clearly indicates tha
