I have a longstanding love affair going on with Etsy. I can lose hours trolling through the millions and millions of things it has to offer. If it can be made outside a factory, it's on Etsy. Here is what Etsy is about in its own words:Etsy is an online marketplace for buying & selling all things handmade. Our mission is to enable people to make a living making things, and to reconnect makers wi

      SJP's New Fragrance "Covet"
"Sex and the City" star Sarah Jessica Parker launches her latest fragrance, "Covet," at the Champs-Elysees Sephora store in Paris. Seems like it'll smell heavenly cause SJP represents real women...not plastic Barbie dolls with boob & cheek implants.

Thou Shall Not Covet Your Neighbor's Wife
Okay, so the ninth commandment states that you shall not covet your neighbor's wife. Pretty simple, if she's married, do not make an attempt to brake the sacred bond of marriage. At least that is what I would consider those words to mean in today's society. Apparently that is not so. If I were to look at a married woman with lust in my eye I have already committed adultery. Holy shit. That's

      Mets Covet Marcus Thames
...Jayson Stark reports that the Mets covet Marcus Thames. In exchange the Tigers are angling for Aaron Heilman. Heilman fanned three times as many as he walked last year. The 29 year old right hander is certainly a more attractive arm than others who had been linked to the Tigers but Stark doesn’t see the Mets moving him. The Mets initially had said that Jorge Sosa was the one they are looking to move.

Thou Shalt Not Covet Thy Neighbor’s Retirement
Some people are born with a silver spoon in their mouth and others are not. Some people’s zero interest credit cards stayed at zero interest for years while other people’s converted into thirty percent interest after using the card two times. Some people’s kids paid them back for all the money they lent them [...]

      Why Covet Thy Neighbor’s Hair?
Why do we always want what we don’t have? I grew up in a family of women (and men for that matter) with (natural) perfectly straight hair. Don’t covet your ideas.
Give away everything you know and more will come back to you. Do you remember when you were in school when other students prevented you from seeing their answers by placing their arm around the exam. People are secretive with ideas. The problem with hoarding is that you end up living off your reserves. Eventually you become stale. If you give away everything you have, you are left with nothing. This forces you to look, to be aware, to replenish. Ideas are open knowledge. Don’t claim ownership. Besides they’re not your ideas anyway, they’re someone else’s. They’re out there floating. You just need to put yourself in a frame of mind to pick them up. Ideas are everywhere you look, you need to be curious and look where everyone else is looking and also where no one is looking Next week I’ll be posting some creative techniques which I have learned and have put to good use. If you have some creative techniques that you use and would like to share, shoot me

Covet and Lovely - A Perfume Success
I have always been a Sarah Jessica Parker fan ever since her “Ed Wood” days but I must admit to not having seen any of the Sex and the City episodes.  That didn’t stop me from falling in love with both of her scents and adding them to my list of must have perfumes for summer. When Lovely was released I must admit I was a bit dubious about ‘yet’ another celebrity releasing a scent into the marketplace.  But I was surprised by the quality of the floral scent, making it perfect for daytime wear without being too overpowering. And now with the release of Sarah’s Covet - she has truly shown that she is more than just an actress releasing a perfume.  Covet is another very feminine perfume with a unique freshness.  It supposedly “traps you in a hypnotic bouquet of crushed geranium leaves, fresh Sicilian lemon, and French lavender laced with decadent chocolate, magnolia and honeysuckle.” The cheeky catchphrase “I had to have it&rdq

      Sarah Jessica Parker - Covet
Julia Roberts. Oh sweet Julia. How I love thee. But you have to admit, she’s a woman who can turn from one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood to He-Man’s arch-nemesis in the blink of an eye. But at least she is some times inexplicably attractive. Sarah Jessica Parker, on the other hand, isn’t. She is pure, unadulterated Skeletor. Whenever I see her face, it always reminds me of someone who’s had plastic surgery then sat too close to an electric fire whilst straining really hard for a shit. In fact, she may be living proof that if you pull a funny face and the wind changes, you stay that way forever. But she prances around as if she is the most attractive female on Earth. Yes, Parker, you did alright in SATC but I think we all know that was more about the writing than your ability to gurn sizzling looks into the camera. Still funny thing happened the other night when I first saw her in the advert for her new perfume, Covet. As she was kicking in the shop wi

      Thou Shalt Not Covet
With the move to the new church, I was presented with a 'church' phone. I've never had a phone given to me by who I work for. The problem was I currently had a service agreement with Cingular/ATT (Whatever...), and the church phone was with Sprint. So I cancelled my service agreement with ATT and started using my free Sprint phone. Nice little perk! Then I start hearing the hype surrounding the new iPhone. Being that it's on ATT, I will not have an option to own such a beast of technological genius. I will be without. I know there are hurting people all over the world, but I still weep for the new iPhone. Am I weird or what? Not that I could afford it, or it's service plans; but just knowing I can't have it brings me some level of pain.

5 Reasons why it's bad to covet your neighbour's garden
Is it wrong to covet a neighbour's garden? Well, is it? Isn't it our aim as gardeners to make everyone want our garden? I guess to some extent it is, but mostly we garden because we love it. If others appreciate our little portion of world beautification then it's a bonus, but our hobby doesn't stem from enticing others to desire what we've achieved. I can appreciate my neighbours garden without craving to have it, or a garden like it. I'm using the term 'neighbour' quite loosely because some of the gardens I covet are not even in my suburb. Some don't even reside within my state, and some aren't even grown in this country. But, in a global-village-kind-of-way they are still my neighbours... and I still lust after their gardens. 5 Reasons why it's bad to covet your neighbour's garden There's nothing they do that you can't - especially if they're literal neighbours. Every plant that grows in their garden could grow equally as well in yours. Your soil could be as

is it totally bizarre to covet an old woman's apartment?
We rewatched "In Her Shoes" at the slumber party this weekend. I forgot how much I love that film, not the least because of the excellent set decoration. I'm especially enamoured of the grandmother's apartment. I grabbed a few stills for you. I love the mirrors and overabundance of pictures. Also the masculinity that somehow pervades this look without being too testosterone-laden. Those splashes of yellow are what make this room come alive.Ok. I want the screens. And the white couch. And the amazing credenza. I couldn't post stills from this film without including a shot of the most perfect wedding dress ever. So lovely. (And her shoes were AMAZING.)

Covet no more thy neighbor's grass!
Perhaps you remember that earlier in the Summer I was struggling with the sin of coveting. I was coveting my neighbor's grass. Now, I don't have to anymore. (though knowing the human heart I'm sure there will be *something* else for me to covet. **sigh**)So now, the moment you all have been waiting for (well, maybe you haven't been waiting but I certainly have been!) After much toil, much back pain, many many hours of backbreaking work, we now have a beautiful yard WITH grass. Next Summer we will spend just a day or two planting trees and shrubs and perennials and we will have a 100% completed yard.We started with a pile of dirt. We began to dig and build in a drainage system so that we could build a sturdy, long lasting retaining wall. Here are two pictures before the retaining wall during the early digging phase (Early July). Here is a (fuzzy) picture after the wall went in plus a bit more dirt that had been moved from other parts of the yard. And here is the yard 90% complete w
