Eliot Van Buskirk recently reported on blog.wired.com that vinyl sales numbers are up. This was confirmed by official statements from the RIAA. There was a decline in ‘05 and ‘06 but the RIAA has reported that vinyl sales (EP/LP) are up a whopping 36.6%! CD sales are on a steady decline dropping 17.5% and revenue dropping 20.5%. I’m sure this is great news for all you vinyl junkies out there. Hopefully the sales will continue to climb and show companies that there is still a huge demand. You simply can’t beat the sound quality of a vinyl record and hopefully more and more people will realize that.
The Spice Girls have denied reports they lip-synched their way through theopening night of their world tour in Vancouver, Canada, on Sunday (02Dec07), insisting it was all live.
