Star Jasmine - A Different Type Of Climbing Plant
The overwhelming majority of climbing plants tend to be rampant and aggressive in their growth habit. They need to be so in the forests where they grow naturally, in order to scramble up towards the light of the forest canopy. This attribute is often welcome in many garden situations, but tends to become problematical in small spaces. The temptation to plant the likes of Bougainvillea, Thunbergia, or Campsis, with their rapid cover and spectacular blooms, can be very great, but many a small plot has been taken over or become an unmanageable tangle as a result. In contrast stands Star Jasmine, (Trachelospermum jasminoides) which is fairly slow growing and not as showy as many of the usual climbers. Often considered a drawback by the unaware, its lethargy in getting started makes it easy to

Climbing DownThe Ladder To The Top
Our world today is a dog eat dog world. To many, if not most, all that matters is getting to the top. People will step on just about anyone to get to the top. That isn’t just in the secular world. From the earliest years we instill in our children a sense of always making it to the top. We use top CEO’s as roll models. There is only one place to be: the top. Number two is nothing but the first looser. Or, is it?Luke wrote, “For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted” (Luke 14:11). That doesn’t say that being at the top is bad thing; it speaks to the attitude that we have on the way there and when we get there. We can be at the top of the ladder of success and be lower than the person on the bottom rung of the ladder of success.

Keep in mind that 5 minutes was about all I could stand as the temp was often around 15 degrees. This is not much of a story really just an explanation of how I welcomed spring each year. First a few words about the mountain and related vocabulary. Mount Fuji is called “Fujiyama” or more frequently “Fujisan” in Japanese. Enjoying The Sport Of Climbing
Enjoying The Sport Of ClimbingBy: James BrownSome people might not think of rock climbing as a sport until they have had a chance to climb a few mountains or spend time in the great outdoors with friends who want to teach them what they love to do the most in the time they have off from work. Door mounted cat climbing device.
Anybody with a feline in the house knows that the little critter likes to occupy the high ground. There it can look down on the rest of the world. Shelves, closets and other in-house heights are usually popular places, but many pet shops also sell dedicated cat climbing furniture. A new take on these is the idea for this door mounted cat climber by Angela and Jeremy Moser. The only question is what kitty thinks of anyone opening the door... It is also pretty costly; USD 200:- at CatLivin.
