      Circuit Board Manufacturing Tour
Legit Reviews did a great job documenting a PCB Manufacturing Tour. It is interesting to see the scale of the operation, there is also some mention of the wages and working environment of the workers. The 4000 workers live on-site and work an average of 72 hours per week for about $0.60 per hour. The [...]

      Circuit board coasters
These are really cool, a pack of six great looking coasters made from old and discarded circuits boards. The have a ring of vinyl until around the edges, which will help to protect your furniture, they come with a nice little tin, which can house the coasters when they are not in use, or alternatively the tin can be used for storing small items like pins or screws. This is a nice little idea that uses an old circuit board, which would otherwise be thrown into the landfill or something even worse. The cost of this set of six circuit board coasters is around $22. What is the best way to clean a dirty motherboard/circuit board?
There are two ways to do it.Use compressed air to literally blow away any dustUse a qtip and a little bit of rubbing alcohol to remove any stuck-on stuffUsually the first will work fine, but if you have anything stuck on the board then you may want to do both of them. If you decide to use rubbing alcohol do not plug it in until it is dry, and make sure none of the qtip "fuzzies" are stuck anywhere!Note: Do not ever use water on a circuit board, it will absolutely ruin it.

      Circuit Board Earrings Hack
Do you have a geeky mother, girlfriend or sister...or perhaps you're a geeky female yourself (or a cross-dressing male one)? Anyways, if you said yes to any of these questions this next hack is for you!CameronSS's sister was looking through a catalogue one day when a pair of earrings caught her eye. It was a pair of circuit board earrings that cost about $20! Lucky for her she had CameronSS as a brother...because he went ahead and saved his sister 20 bucks by making her a set himself. And lucky for us he was a nice enough guy to write up the whole hack on the Instructables site!Basically, you take a surface mount circuit board and cut it into two identical pieces with a band saw. You then sand down the sides and drill a hole into each and attach the earring hooks. The final results are pretty cool!To check out the whole hack click here.
