Dad is Great, He Feeds us Chocolate Cake
If you're a fan of Bill Cosby, you'll recognize this line from one of his stage performances. I remember him as one of the only comics my parents allowed us to watch when we were kids, and we quickly adopted this anthem in our home. Mom was careful to make sure it happened infrequently, the actual eating of cake for breakfast that is, but Dad enjoyed the credit he got by promising us decadent good

      Chocolate Cake!
I love chocolate and i love chocolate cake with choco whip cream. It's sinfully delicious but has a lot of calories (this one i don't like, LOL). I've always wanted to try my hand on making a chocolate cake myself, one that is really chocolateyyy. Before it's usually butter cake and chiffon cake, i haven't tried my hand on chiffon cake though, looks complicated but i will try that one of these days.So I surf the net for a simple chocolate cake recipe that I like and that looks simple to me. And I pray that the one I had chosen (from grouprecipes) is the one that will have the taste that i like. But my bad, because i'm not sure yet it's the recipe I would like, i did not get the best ingredients that I could find the first time, so my cake ended up not to my liking, BUT i know that the tex

      Chocolate cake everyone?
I did it.It's my first time to try baking a chocolate cake.I always have cassave, banana, carrot and chicken pie and I thought, maybe I can try a different one. So,there it is.I first thought it wouldn't be successful.I dont follow the correct measurements.Hmm,it's good a try.I wish it will still be here till next week.A cassava cake is nice too, only that once it's cooked Shady won't stop eating,so do I? So far,the chocolate cake is still here.I just have a slice and a cup of tea. It's cold so have to maintain the temperature inside.I lit up candles because I am trying to save.Heaters will be on when Shady comes back from work until in the evening. Will you believe that 4PM is like 11PM in the Philippines? It's a bit scary thinking that it's still afternoon but dark. What if it'll not changed?Huhuhu.Have a nice day everyone!

"Like love, chocolate is always a delight to receive or to give."MARY JANE FINSAND YUMMY PICNIC CHOCOLATE CAKE Love experimenting with chocolate cakes for the kids…and am trying to get to the perfect chocolate cake sans frosting. I have tried umpteen recipes, and find that the good ones use far more butter than I like, or have to be frosted to taste good. The perfect balance in taste, ingredients, fibre etc is probably yet to come…but I made this this afternoon, and find it comes quite close. It's simple, straight-forward & from my heart! I tossed in ingredients from the top of my head like an expert, and then stood with my heart in my mouth when I gave my son a slice. The son gave it an instant ‘thumbs up’, and am awaiting my daughters’ return from her trekking trip to get her review. Will post it soon after… (P.S. She's back...and she LOVES it!!) Chocolate Cake for Breakfast!
Remember that old Bill Cosby routine, where the kids talked him into letting them eat chocolate cake for breakfast and his wife went off about it? I feel like that kind of a parent today. I took the kids to Sam’s Club to return our rotten grapes, and nobody wanted a hot dog or a slice of pizza, but everybody wanted ice cream. So, we had ice cream for lunch today. Literally, ice cream ONLY. Nothing healthy at all. Well, unless you count the half a dozen samples we had throughout the store, of brownies, croissant breakfast sandwiches, Gardetto’s pretzel mix, sesame chips, shrimp scampi, and Snickers “energy” bars. Oh, wait. None of that was healthy either!! Oh well. I DID buy replacement grapes - sans mold, thankyouverymuch, along with strawberries and cantaloupe, so we’ll have a nice big fruit salad at dinnertime. And yeah, they gave me my money back, no questions asked! I felt a little less lame returning my grapes when I saw that the lady behind me was re

Kimkins Diet Recipes: 3-minute Kimkins Chocolate Cake
Kimkins Chocolate Cake is a life-saver if you are craving for sweets and/or chocolate cake.3 Minute Kimkins Chocolate CakeIngredients -1/4C Almond flour 2 carbs1 T Cocoa Power 11/4 t Baking Power 04-5 packets of Splenda (4-5)2 T Melted Butter 01 T Water, or SF syrup, 01 Egg 0.6In a 2 Cup Pyrex measuring cup, blend all dry ingredients. Add water, melted butter and egg...mix thoroughly. Cover with plastic wrap (to vent, cut small slit in center of plastic wrap). Microwave on high for 1 minute (I microwaved for 1 minute 10 seconds...you need to adjust as you think is right). If you use SF syrup, use less Splenda, you might have to experiment with that. I like the SF DaVinci cherry syrup, Peppermint Paddy, or orange, but you can use any flavor you like.Cool a bit, eat warm with whipped cream or cool completely to ice cake. When this comes out of the microwave, it looks a bit wet but dries as it cools. Cake without icing is 8.6 carbs. Folks have frosted it with cream cheese, SF pudding, whi

      Three Layer Chocolate Cake
I was going to make this cake today for my father in law, but at the last minute decided to make my old 'standby' chocolate cake that I make with mayonnaise I knew it would turn out, I knew what it tastes like and I didn't have time for any 're-do's' if I didn't care for it. I'm not sure where I got this one, it's one of those 'typical' recipes like a million others except this one has 'crumbs'

Right now I could pay the mortgage and our daughters monthly dance fee... and then I would have zero left. Chocolate Cake with Nuts
There are so many different types of chocolate cake. This one is a rich and quite sticky chocolate cake. The recipe does not call for melting chocolate in a double boiler. While small amounts of moisture can ruin melting chocolate, larger amounts do not seem to have that effect, as long as the liquid is mixed with the chocolate from the beginning of the melting process. Two rules are universal, regardless of the method. Be sure to use dry equipment and always first prepare the chocolate by cutting it into small pieces.LAYER INGREDIENTS:* 5 dl (300 grams) flour* 1 dl cacao powder* 1 ½ dl sugar* 1 egg yolk* 200 grams margarineFILLING AND TOPPING:* 75-100 grams Milk Chocolate Block (no dark chocolate)* 2 ½ dl whipping cream* 2 egg yolks* ½ dl sugar* 1 tablespoons flourGARNISH: Walnuts, chopped hazelnuts or chocolate sprinklesMETHOD:1.
