After 2 months of waiting, the cheque (check) is finally here. That’s insane, on Adverlet’s site, it says that I will receive my cheque in the 2nd month after I cash out my earnings. It wasn’t like that, after more than 60 days of cashing out, I received it yesterday. Not in my letterbox but in my neighbor’s letterbox. What the fuck? They can’t even write my address correctly. Luckily my neighbor is kind to pass us the mail because the name on it is not theirs.
The cheque was in a cheapo HSBC envelope, I thought they send me via an envelope with Adverlets logo on it. It’s not what I expected. I expected it to be thick with Adverlets stickies like they sent their first cheque to their blogger last time. It’s only consist of a cheque in it, nothing then.

My dad called me few days ago saying that I have a mail from Commission Junction. My first thinking tells me that this is a promotion tactic. Since I was not in my hometown, I asked him to open the envelop and told him that I will go back to hometown next month.
In less than 5 minutes time, I received another call from my dad. He told me that Commission Junction sent a 100 dollars cheque to me. Wow! It is really overwhelming and I can’t really believe it immediately.
With curiosity, I quickly logged online to check my CJ account and found out that CJ sent an USD100 cheque on September. So, I promised my dad to go home in the weekend. The photograph shown above is my first cheque earned from Internet.

Estuve esperando con ansias el momento oportuno para hacer esta entrada. Se trata de narrar mi experiencia con mi primer cobro por las publicidades de Adsense. Como era de esperar el límite de los 100 dólares lo pasé en un par de meses, ya que el agarrar ritmo y optimizar los anuncios toma su tiempo.
Luego de llegar al monto mínimo, me enviaron el tan esperado PIN, el cual demoró 3 semanas en llegar a mi casa (Perú).

Una vez que llega el dichoso cheque de Google salta de inmediato la duda ¿Y como cobro este documento? Para empezar debes saber que este es un cheque, que la empresa donde lo cambies, irá a cobrarlos a USA por nosotros. Acá en Lima puedes cobrarlo en MoneyGram, pero no en cualquiera de las sucursales, sino en las principales. En mi caso, tuve que ir hasta Miraflores, a una de las oficinas principales a cobrar. Ojo, tienes que llevar un copia de un recibo de luz o agua, además de una copia de tu documento de identidad. Y bueno, eso es todo. Para acabar, en Money Gram te cobran 4% del valor del cheque por la operación. Además me advirtieron, que si no pueden cobrar el cheque por algún motivo, tengo que reintegrarles el valor de lo que me dieron más 50 dólares por gastos administrativos. Cosa que espero no suceda. I hope it's not only wishful thinking. I haven't received any pay cheque since I decided to monetize my blog as few months back.I believe it will come from Advertlets.com. I've put up Advertlets.com ads for more than a month now and have been an active member (*wink wink*).The people in the picture are RM50 richer after winning in one of Advertlets.com contests for their members. I'm quite lucky too, I got an instant SGD25 just by reviewing Advertlets.com. So it won't be long till I get my first cheque. With the numerous ad sponsors, all I have to do is put up more ad codes and participate actively whenever there are sponsored posting opportunities.More sponsored post opportunities please! Yes, it’s a nice little Google Adsense cheque for a shade under £60. It’s not a huge amount of money, but it’s something. It’s taken me two years, but really it’s been the last 3-4 months which have seen a huge upturn in clicks. I’m already halfway to the next payout, so it should be soon.
The question is, what should I do with my new found wealth? It’s not enough to change the world with, but I feel I should do something worthwhile with my money, rather than spend it on my usual choice of blackjack and hookers. Should I invest it? If so, where?
With that in mind, I’m taking a leaf out of Ryan’s book (who sent me his visualisations of this site and Han’s sit

The star appears in a very short bright green dress and long blonde wig when shooting in LA last month.
