Ok, this is a little mini-rant. When I write a check to someone, why does it take them over a week to cash it? Seriously. This is one of my biggest pet peeves! I wrote my brother-in-law a check for June's mortgage. Seven days later he still has not even deposited it in his bank. His response when I inquired about it 'When you have lots of money in the bank you don't need to cash things right away.
