Recently I got an offer I really had to scratch my head about. The offer goes like this;
Pay on the card at the rate of 10.99% for a year, then the rate reduces to 9.99% for the life of the balance of the loan.
Now, 9.99% isn’t bad, but I don’t know why the company would make you pay 1% more to get it.
Let’s do the math.
If the balance is $10,000, that means you would pay about $250/month (assuming a 2.5% payment which is typical).
So in the first year it looks like this.

I found this recently - I think it is a great illustration of how we filter information. Well it got me anyway! How do you think you will do....It makes me wonder how many other pieces of information we miss in everyday conversations that might be important? Are you a fan of illusions and card tricks? If you are, you'll this video challenging enough! The video is made out of two parts. First part, the color changing card trick is a bit complicated, but I'm sure you've seen a lot more mind boggling card tricks that this one. Here is a great card trick that has the advantage of being self- working!REQUIREMENTS: 21 random cards from any deck.To perform the trick:Take 21 cards and deal them out into three columns by dealing seven rows of three. Deal three cards across for the first row, then another card on top of each for the next row, and so on until you have seven rows of cards in three columns for a total of 21 cards. Make sure you deal out each of the rows so you can still see the cards behind it.Now have someone think of any card in one of the columns, and then tell you which column the card is in. Pick up one of the other columns, then the column he chose, and then the last column, so that the column with the chosen card is between the other two.Deal them out again the same as before, and have your volunteer tell you which column the card is now in.
