I think I am just destined to not keep goldfish or something. I have the worst luck with them. The latest issue I have is with my big goldfish. I noticed this red mark on his body. I’m assuming he somehow touched the heater and got burnt. Does that look like a burn mark? Or is it something else?
That is what happens when you try to heat up a sandwich wrapped with tinfoil in the microwave. Immediately after I pressed the start button, I heard a buzzing sound and I saw sparks from the tinfoil to the ceiling of the microwave. Then the tinfoil started catching fire and luckily I was hanging around the kitchen because I was able to press stop in time before disaster happened. Otherwise, my apartment could end up like this.
Needless to say, my sandwich was a little burned and had a weird smell. After replaying the scene in my head, I realized that it could have been a financially catastrophic mistake. Not only will I need to buy a new microwave, I would have to pay for damages to the apartment and probably anything else that was damaged depending on how far the fire reaches. All the damages because I was careless and did not know any better.
This brings up a good topic for personal finance because carelessness and lack of knowledge keeps us from becoming wealthy.

Two men are being treated for serious burns after falling into a fire they had lit at an Otago property.Senior Sergeant Mel Aitken, of Dunedin police, said that the pair, thought to be in their early 30s, used petrol to light a fire at the back of a property in Mosgiel about 4am yesterday.It appeared one of the men was still holding the petrol container when another man "rugby-tackled" him backwards into the fire, he told the Otago Daily Times.The fuel spilled from the container and caught fire, burning both men.Mr Aitken said one of the men suffered severe burns to his upper body, torso, and face, and the other had severe burns to his leg.Police believe the men were drunk at the time."It looks like some antics went badly wrong," Mr Aitken said.The men were taken to Dunedin Hospital for treatment.

I am cooking our ribs, but I had some of them over cooked because they are a bit burned. I put them on the grill with a really hot charcoal burning so they almost went up in flame from having so much pork oil-fatty ribs. So now some of our ribs are burned. Fortunately, though, I think I can salvage some, so I put them on a foil, and cook them inside inside instead. I'll have to do better.

Remember when I was trying to decide whether to go to the park or go swimming? We ended up going to my friend’s house to hang out with her and some other mamas and kids. She had a couple of baby pools set up and the kids splashed around and had a great time. We all were having fun until Mallory got hurt! She was playing on the playset in my friend’s yard and decided to go down the slide. The moment she sat down and started sliding, she started SCREAMING in pain. It was awful! I had her sit in the baby pool for a few minutes to cool off her bottom. It looked red and there was a place where the skin had blistered a little bit, but it didn’t look ALL that bad. We headed home and I put one of those adhesive gel patches on the burn.
By the time Mallory got up from her nap a little while later, she was crying so pitifully, and I really started to get worried about it. It had blistered up quite a bit more, and I called the doctor, who told me to get her over to Urgent Care.

Apparently the manager of the motel was able to alert all the guests in time to move themselves and their vehicles to a safe place. Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of taking a four mile hike with my two oldest children on the local Hawktrail. During this time of year the birds come through on their usual migratory path and you can see over 100 daily with the help of binoculars. In the brochure it says that the hike is "difficult" and 1.5 miles one way. That didn't sound so bad.
