The Body Shop and the Helen Bamber Foundation have released this disturbing PSA starring Emma Thompson to address the reality of the sex-trafficking industry. Thompson narrates in two voices, Elena and Maria, one an innocent girl, the other an abused prostitute. It soon becomes clear that they are the same person.
Brutal Legend has been revealed as the next project from famed game designer Tim Schafer and his Double Fine Productions (creator of the critically acclaimed Psychonauts and PC classics Grim Fandango, Full Throttle, Day of the Tentacle, and The Secret of Monkey Island and it’s sequel Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge).
The game is a rock-star epic starring Jack Black as roadie Eddie Riggs and will feature “a stable of heavy metal legends”. Not much more has been confirmed about the game other than the tag-line “a rock ‘n’ roll road show through the twisted mind of Tim Schafer” which comes from the next issue of Game Informer, which has the game as it’s cover-story. THIS is the little girl who was brutally assaulted and stuffed into a sports bag. Police yesterday released the photograph of the unidentifi ed girl, said to be between eight and 10 years old, in their bid to nab the assailant. The victim is about 1.5m tall and weighs 18kg, has fair skin, a sharp nose, short curly hair and a birth mark on her left thigh. Petaling Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Arjunaidi Mohamed said there is a possibility that the victim is a foreigner as there was no mark for Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) injection on her arm. “We hope the photograph will help us fi nd her family members and solve the case.” Although police have recovered recordings showing a woman loitering on the pavement along Jalan PJS 1/48 hours before the body was found, he said they were not clear enough to identify the person. “But we are scrutinising the recordings for more details of the girl and the assailants,” he said.
