A comment posted to Ward 87. I liked it so I pinched it. If the commenter does not want me to publish, just let me know. For the record, we have always thought the GMC are slightly odd. Their ability to make decisions is become more and more bizarre as time moves forward. My interest of late has been the health procedures. This interests me because I used to be an ex shrink. I've always been extremely interested in politics. I studied British politics as an A-level course for two years and US politics as a minor credit for a year at University. At one time I even thought I might like to be a politician (my family certainly thought I was argumentative enough!).
I therefore took very seriously last night's US Presidential election. I did a great deal of research
Brave New Films and The Real McCain have released a new video along with a petition, asking the McCain/Palin campaign to end the politics of hate. The obviously did not see last night’s roast. In the video, it shows footage of McCain/Palin events, where Obama was called a traitor and a terrorist.

Whilst they might have served a purpose shoring up the base, in the bigger scheme of things it seems that Obama might be benefiting from Republican smear tactics this year. As moderate Republicans have come to mistrust the motives of their old anti-Washington allies outside the Beltway, and have turned to reliable establishment figures in both parties to help reconstruct the banking system, the ce
I know it doesn’t matter – and you know it doesn’t matter – but if he didn’t quote The Tempest with quite such a simpering smile I wouldn't find myself wondering whether he can bowl as well as Obama. But Joe Biden did. And while he does, and being of the old Wilde school of not attributing his sources, Palin’s modesty to misattribute her quotes is all the more notable. Those given to An
We are living through one of the most tumultuous periods in the history of the financial markets. It is rattling even the most steadfast and optimistic of investors. For better or for worse, we can only look with misty memory to the halcyon, golden, go-go market and investment days of the 1980's and 1990's. We are truly in a brave new world - one where the old assumptions and dogmas are
Our country has fixed all of it’s problems, and it’s all because of Barack Obama. But one guy managed to miss all the reforms, and he gets filled in when he comes out of a coma.
Is not it a great idea to write critical essays on Brave New World? You need to do just two things: read the novel by Aldous Huxley and express your impression on paper.
Of course, all this sounds simple. Still, the book is not short. More than 200 pages should be read. Do you have enough [...]
The "blogosphere" is a haven for the cowardly, the vicious and the ignorantThere is a lot of guff talked about the "blogosphere". In reality, it is neither a utopia of free speech nor is it entirely given over to conspiracy theorists and whackos.
I didn't agree with all of Polly Toynbee's column this morning. She doesn't seem to be sure whether people are wrong to be miserable, or just miserable

"Some artworks offer escape: fanciful worlds, soothing aesthetics, images and ideas made to calm and comfort. Others nudge us to question and reflect on realities facing us as individuals and as a society. The latter definition of art guides the exhibition Brave New Worlds, which considers the present state of political consciousness, expressed through the questions of how to live, experience,

This Cargill ad on msnbc.com yesterday read: “Cargill is helping new ideas emerge from nature. Find out how at cargillcreates.com“. So I clicked.
The site’s predominant color is green, a direct allusion to nature and sustainability (envy and inexperience, too, but that’s another story). The tagline reads “collaborate > create > succeed”, followed by “TM” for [...]

Welcome, This is your overloar…err I mean my name is Chris. This blog will be the outpost for articles I submit to Associated Content. Topics will range from sports, gaming, and basicxally anything that I feel is worthy of my precious tme to write about.
I don’t ever claim to be the greatest writer in the world, heck, I don’t even think I am above average. I like to write for a number of different reasons. I write because I like to share information and opinions with other people…
…I write for Associated content for the possibility of making money with said information and opinions. Nothing at all wrong with that is there? Whats that, you say there is something wrong with that? Whatever…
I recently discovered an excellent travel blog, Brave New Traveler. I suggested to the Editor, Ian MacKenzie, that home exchange would make a perfect topic for a blog which is described as an 'on-line travel magazine for the 21st century, offering tips and advice on all types of travel', and Ian immediately responded - positively - even providing a good idea for a post which I published earlier this week, Six Good Reasons to Try a Home Exchange.
Do check out Ian's post, '6 Convincing Reasons To Try A Home Exchange', and the rest of this well written, informative and constantly updated site.
If you haven't tried home exchange yet you may, indeed, think of home swappers as 'brave new travellers'! That's the reason for this blog, Travel the Home Exchange Way - to provide lots of information about swapping homes as a holiday option to, hopefully, remove any apprehension or concerns you may have. You don't need to be brave to be a home exchanger, just an independent travel

Hey Everyone!
I have exciting news to share. Brave New Traveler has just published an article I wrote about my time on the Navajo Reservation. Please go check it out! It is my first article for someone else! I am really excited about it!
A little while back, I’d mentioned the open nomination for the Travvies, the brand new travel blog awards initiated by Mark Ashley.
Yesterday, they announced the finalists, as chosen by their panel of prestigious judges, and I’m happy to report that Brave New Traveler made the cut for two categories:
Best Travel Blog
Best Group Written Travel Blog
I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t exciting to be in the running with the ranks of Newyorkology, Vagablogging, along with the rest of the deserving finalists.
I couldn’t have done it without our fantastic guest contributors, writing quality posts week after week. And of course, a big thank you to our readers, who nominated Brave New Traveler in the first place.
Once again, I must ask for your support.
Voting is now on for the next week, and I’d be eternally grateful if you’d head over and cast your vote.
I’ll report back with the winners once the votes are tallied.
Lastly, if you’
This week, Vodafone decided to send a few messages to the market :- Purchase of Hutchison Essar ($11.7bn for a 67% controlling stake... provided Essar doesn't launch a counterattack tainted with economic patriotism*) : I intend to remain in the World's top 3 operators for subscribers and I'm gonna post exciting growth rates for the years to come. Certainly not for ARPU but I'm investing for the long term. And by the way : I'm still able to invest for higher purposes than the loyalty of my shareholders.- Another deal with Orange on 3G network sharing : I prefer to invest on CAPEX in India where it will make a difference. I'm bracing for a fiercer competition in mature markets, where I will focus on service.- An impressive collection of old and new partnerships with almost all major web players (Google for mapping, Yahoo! and Microsoft for IM, YouTube, eBay, MySpace...) : you think these newcomers are smarter and swifter, and you believe they will get the bulk of the value but look
