There are eleven phases of booting process in XP but it has been improved in Vista with only eight phases. And yet both of them are more sophisticated and complicated than starting a space rocket (three phases).
To speed up booting XP by 61 Times, type msconfig in Run and hit enter.Whenever you start your computer, you are faced with a few moments of thumb twiddling while Windows XP boots and prompts you to log on. Although you should expect to wait for a few moments, sometimes Windows XP seems to boot rather slowly. In fact, you may notice that over a period of time the PC that used to roar to life seems
Most digital cameras have some sort of start-up screen that displays when you turn on the camera. For quicker boot-ups, disable the start-up screen. This will also cut down on the time you’ll have to wait before you can shoot an image—excruciatingly long moments for those of us who forget to turn on our cameras until we notice the shot. Although not every camera will allow you to disable the
One of the biggest complaints about Linux is the speed with which Linux boots. By default, Linux is a general-purpose operating system that can serve as a client desktop or server right out of the box. This article shows you how to increase Linux boot speed, including two options for parallelizing the initialization process. It also shows you how to visualize graphically the performance of the boo

Gimana caranya biar ga tambah lemot ?????Simple aja, pertama buka Windows Explorer (bisa langsung tekan tombol Windows+E).Teruz langsung buka Drive C, kemudian buka folder Windows. Setelah itu cari and buka folder Prefetch.Nah, selanjutnya pilih semua file yang ada di folder Prefetch itu (langsung aja Ctrl+A), terus Delete dech....jangan ragu, delete aja semua isinya.Lakuin langkah tadi seca

You might be aware of dual-booting in the PC world where you can install multiple operating systems on a computer, and be able to choose which one to boot when switching on the computer power eg. Mac OS X or Windows on Intel-based Macs. The iPhone hacker Jonathan “NerveGas” Zdziarski has released a hack that makes dual-booting possible even on the iPhone.

If you set up a dual-boot system using Vista Home Premium and say, Vista Business, the menu text will be the same for each: viz Microsoft Windows Vista. You will therefore be unable to tell which is which, since by default, setup will add the generic entry: “Microsoft Windows Vista” for each installation of Vista, irrespective of the version. So, to make the boot menu text more clear, you can take the following steps...
One of the most frustrating moments of my morning is getting to work and sitting there for 10 minutes while my computer boots up. Most mornings, I can get a cup of coffee and visit coworkers while my computer starts and Outlook, IE, and the other applications I use regularly open. My wait time is even more frustrating when I have an early meeting and need a document, but spend the first half of the meeting waiting for my computer to start.
One way I’ve learned to save time in the morning is to put my PC into hibernation mode in the evening. By putting my PC into hibernation mode, all the applications and documents I had open
will be exactly the same as they were when I left the previous evening. Hibernate saves an image of your desktop with all open files and documents, and then it powers down your computer. (more…)

This guide is a comprehensive guide for quad booting on a single hard drive with wireless internet access on all platforms and introducing basic networking on all platforms to access network shares on other computers. It took me a bit of time to figure out so I decided to write a guide for others who were interested in going this route. This guide is based on specific hardware and it is uncertain if the procedure will work on other hardware. If you are going to attempt quad boot I would strongly recommend installing the operating systems separately first, so you make sure they all work by themselves. Also, it is very helpful to have a usb flash drive handy and a separate computer running windows so you can download stuff as needed and put it on the flash drive. That being said, lets continue.Hardware RequirementsPC with SSE2 instruction set You can use SSE3 but I have no experience with it Empty Hard driveI strongly recommend that you start with a clean hard drive, no files on it at all
I've not been to a car boot sale in ages. Some friends were out early this morning to have a good clear out, so we popped along to the Vagrants in Willaston to see how they were doing. It always amazes me what people will buy, but it's better than allowing your clutter to end up in landfill sites. The eldest saw a Barcelona footy top he liked, so he bagged himself a bargain. What did surprise me was the number of cars on site - hundreds! The youngest also made me laugh. I was buying some veg for a Sunday stew when he came over all concerned. "Don't get those carrots, dad," he said. "They're all dirty!" He wasn't wrong, bless, but like most kids these days his veg/shopping experiences invariably centre around supermarkets...
HOW TO's : The order of installation is critical if you want a successful multiboot installation. In general terms, install non–Microsoft operating systems and earlier versions of the Windows operating system first. This would mean installing UNIX or Linux operating systems first; then Windows 95 or Windows 98 or Windows Me; then Windows NT; and finally, Windows 2000 and/or Windows XP. (In the unlikely event that you’re installing MS–DOS, you can install that either before or after UNIX– or Linux–based operating systems, and generally I’d opt for before.Make sure you have available logical drives to install different WIndows OS with

This tips assumes you have installed XP and Vista prior to OS X.First things first; no i did not figure this out on my own rather have decided to compile the posts i've found and info into a nice and easy recipe. Although you should expect to wait for a few moments, sometimes Windows XP seems to boot rather slowly. In fact, you may notice that over a period of time the PC that used to roar to life seems a bit sluggish instead. Fortunately, you can perform several techniques that help Windows XP get the bootup speed you want. This Article explores how to put these techniques to work.Stopping Unneeded Startup Services !Along with the core operating system and programs that Windows XP runs when it starts, there is also a host of services involved. Many of these services are necessary for Windows XP to operate correctly. However, many of them are for features in Windows XP that you may not use at all. You can peruse the services and disable any service that you do not want to run. The fewer services that run, the more quickly Windows XP will boot.Caution:Exercise c

Today my friend had a problem with his computer, while Windows is booting it restarted unexpectedly without leaving any error message. I tried to boot under safe mode, but still had the same problem, it restarted again. I then tried the start up option “Disable Automatic Restart on System Failure” on the boot menu, this time it gave me the blue screen with the message “registry error 0×000051” and it told me that registry was corrupt. Because of this I had to use the recovery console to replace the corrupt registry with the last good registry found inside the System Volume Information folder, which is where the System Restore’s files located. Here’s how I did that:
After logging in to the recovery console cd to C:System Volume Information, then dir to list the directories inside of it, you’ll see a lot of folder named _restore{*} along with their date, cd to the most recent _restore{*} . If you don’t know what recovery console is or
