I do not know what took me so long to try Cargo blu_ray™ Blush/Highlighter. After getting a sample with a Sephora order I had to get the full size. Truth is I am blush challenged. Continuing on my quest to personally get around to sampling and reviewing all these 'cult classic' beauty buys I've been hearing about for years, I've finally purchased Nars blush in Orgasm. I've heard a lot about this product. It's supposed to be THE perfect blush - suiting all complexions, matching all other makeup and generally being the perfect halfway point between peach and pink with the tiniest bit of shimmer to make you glow.
I bought the original powder version of this blush, simply because I already have two stain blushes and I thought I could use one with this consistency.

I gagged while writing that deadline. Convulsed with violent contractions and foamed at the mouth in disgust. When you watch this video, keep a bucket near you in case it makes you very sick and you can't control the gagging. I still am.
I know a lot of you like powder blushes, but I wanted to dedicate a moment of worship to a classic berry shade of cream blush that just does so much to make me look happy and not sallow (I once got asked if I had jaundice by a friend. In my defense, I hadn't slept all night and was highly dependent on Dayquil to stay alive). I am also very much washed out in this pic as it was taken in natural sunlight, without flash, and at around 2:30 pm. However, the blush is still visible, and I hope, pretty, NARS Montenegro glides on like a dream and blends even better. I can pat it on with my fingers, use a small stipling brush, or a foundation brush to add thin layers of colour. The blush looks like an uneventful cold purple in the pan but on my cheeks it transforms to a happy, delightful, flattering berry shade. One huge plus is that it really brings a sparkle to my eyes. So to continue my blush installments, I have decided to head this one with a classic. Just don't be scared by the shimmer you see in the pic as I'm also wearing a highlighter over it (NARS Albatross to be exact). In case you didn't know, I'm something of a highlighter-addict.Lovejoy on its own, without the added highlighter, is a very versatile rosey bronze colour with slight golden shimmer. Bourjois is a french brand of drugstore cosmetics but don’t be fooled by the idea of them being drugstore. They are a sister company of Chanel and have been around since the 1800s! The Little Round Pot blush quality is really awesome and that is a great compliment coming from someone who loves blushes. I was first introduced to them by a friend and I have loved every single one I’ve tried.
I used to have more, but these are the only 4 blushes I have left. The blushes tend to be shimmery although there are one or two which are matt for those that prefer it. I kept these 4 because they are my favourite colours. Lilas D’or and Rose D’or have gold shimmer which aren’t over the top and are really pretty on the cheeks. I’d heard a lot about Benefit Cosmetics’ Dandelion all over face powder for a while. However, reviews were mixed about it.
Most people felt that it was too light and did not show up on their skin at all. Some of these complaints were even from girls with very light colouring, so I was rather reluctant to try it. After all, it costs RM129 here in Malaysia.
However, I managed to snag one from the USA for US$28 and thought to give it a shot. I was actually pleasantly surprised at the result.
Dandelion is supposed to be an all over face brightening powder as opposed to a blush. However, as the colour does come out rather pink I don’t think its really advisable to use it as an all over powder.

It scares everyone in the pan, but I always seem to get compliments ranging from 'you look so awake and fresh' to 'you look so soft and girly.' Keira Knightley has replaced Kate Moss as the face of Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle perfume (a tough gig, I might add). Until recently, I've never really given Keira a second thought. Perhaps it was the second time I saw Love Actually (now my second favourite film of all time) that I really began to notice her.Well, you can't really not notice her in this ad. These are the only NYX blushes I own at the moment. I used to have about 6 but I gave away the rest for various reasons, mainly because I had too many duplicate colours.

I was reading some comments below about some readers finishing up their blushes and I recalled that I used to too. I had a favourite L’oreal Blush Delice in Rosy Cheeks that I nearly finished. The only bit left of it is the colour around the sides and I still use it when I travel. Absolutely gorgeous colour. But since then, I haven’t finished up any more blushes. My collection above should tell you why. *gulp* I’ve since given away some and added others as this picture was taken about a year ago so the brands aren’t accurate. Maybe I should update yes? I used to be so intimidated by blush and the little brush that comes along in the packaging. You know, the one that is so tiny that you really don't know what to do with it. Brette Sandler bikinis are amazing. Something about the designs is just so sexy, but not slutty sexy. It's not like they are especially more revealing than your regular ol' bikinis. As revealing as bikinis can be, they are actually not bad. Perhaps it's the sultry colors and the details like little rings, peep holes, constrasting panels, and ruchings that render the suites so unique and extremely sexy. Turbulent is a limited edition blush from Chanel’s 2006 Summer Collection. Its a Joues Contrast blush which is the round ones not the quilted one.
The colour is a very cool toned pink with lots of shimmer. The texture is hard as its a baked powder blush. This is opposed to pressed powder i.e. where they compress the powder. However, despite it feeling hard to the touch, its very pigmented. One swipe of your brush over the blush, and you’ll have a lovely pink flush with shimmer.
This is my first Chanel Joues Contrast blush and I am sure its not going to be my last!
The problem however, is that this Chanel blush colour is limited edition and already sold out in many counters. So, I rooted around my blush stash, and came up with a dupe in Make Up For Ever No. 85.
Here are some comparison pictures of the 2 blushes.
The Chanel blush is lighter pink in pan with more sparkles. The Make Up For Ever one is more berry toned and more pigmented.

Pesquisando a respeito em blogs gringos, descobri que podem se tratar de peças criadas apenas para a autopromoção da agência, que as inscreve em festivais de publicidade.
Parece que a loja de lingeries Blush, que fica no centro de Berlin, é muito pequena para suportar uma grande estrutura de publicidade e uma grande agência, além de não se tratar de uma marca famosa e global, como pode se imaginar ao ver os anúncios.
Não se pode afirmar essa suspeita, mas criar algo apenas para promover uma agência, não me agrada. Parece que os criativos esqueceram o papel principal da publicidade, que é criar marcas e vender produtos, e estão mais preocupados em ganhar prêmios. A melhor propaganda é aquela que vende!
De qualquer maneira, confira as peças, que independentemente da suspeita, são muito interessantes.

I read a lot of good reviews about this mousse blush before it came into Malaysia and managed to get my hands on it to try.
This is a mousse based blush, similar to that of Stila’s mousse blushes. It comes in a heavy glass pot with the colour of the cap representing the colour of the blush inside. Its too bulky and heavy to travel with and the contents can shift in transit. There are many colours available overseas, but when I checked at Guardian here, we have only about 4 colours available.
This mousse blush is not to be confused with the Dream Matte Mousse foundation also by Maybelline. The texture and concept is the same, but this blush is not matt. The colours have some slight shimmer to them which is useful in a blush to add texture.
When you open the pot, you’ll find the coloured mousse inside. It feels soft and springy to the touch - rather like that of a sponge cake. You tap your finger on the blush and then apply to your cheeks as you would a cream blush.

I never used to look at Guerlain’s blushes for the simple reason that the brand does not excite me. I associate it with older women and the fact that the Guerlain counter at the malls are always quiet and manned by older ladies doesn’t help that image.
However, on a whim, I purchased 2 Guerlain Radiant blushes from StrawberryNET.com a couple of months ago when they were running a promotion. The two I got were Apricot Souffle D’or and Rose Pluie D’or. D’or in French indicates that there’s gold shimmer and I like shimmer in blushes.

The blushes come in a large square case with a beaten gold cover. The bottom that houses the blushes is a clear plastic and the back has a large circle with a colour matching the blush inside and the name printed on it.
