Her motto: “Fashion is not a luxury.”  That’s true, but who’s the one wearing one of a kind designer red carpet dresses? haha.  Either way, seems like more and more Hollywood stars are aiming their merchandise for the average consumer.   Most of her stuff is very casual, lounging around at home, or out casually clothes — generally you can walk away with an entire outfit, including bag and shoes for well under $50!  Some of the pieces are claimed as “day to evening.”  Something to note, is that she’s not a fan of low rise jeans.  So if you love low rise jeans (like me), her pants will not be cut to your liking.  Everyone has different tastes… so I leave it up to you to check her line and decide: “Have you been BITTEN?”   Find pictures of Bitten styles at: Oprah  and S

I love a bright red lip color. The thing is, I don't usually wear red lipstick because it is such a pain to keep up. I mean you've got to touch it up every 5 minutes to avoid having it it smudge and fade in weird spots. And forget about giving your boyfriend a smooch--it ain't happenin'.That's what I was to excited when I saw an ad for Revlon's new lip stain, "Just Bitten". It comes in four colors (a pink, an orange, a red and a purpleish color). My fave is "cherry tart". I searched all through my local CVS for this, but couldn't find even the ridiculous purple shade! Finally, I randomly ended up in the makeup department at Target and found the last one on the shelf! It was clearly meant to be.Anyway, I took the stain for a test run yesterday. It was my day off and I spent it with my boyfriend who isn't shy about a good 'ole smoocharino, so I knew the lip stain would really get a good test. SJP looks picture perfect in this white Fendi dress and bag at the Night & Day exhibition in New York City. I really love this dress, it adds lovely curves to her lean frame. I wonder how she'd look in her own Bitten clothes, if she would acctually wear any of that stuff.So the line will go on sale on June 7. For those of us in Canada, I guess we just have to pass this one. Have any of you seen the line? I caught a glimpse of it over at The Budget Fashionista before she was forced to take them down. Hi all,Has the abstract bug bitten? Um, I think that’s a distinct possibility! In my post on Wednesday (One up on Picasso!) I confessed that I’d never before ventured into the hallowed realms of the abstract. So of course now there’s nothing to stop me. The ice is broken; the ideas are flowing and whilst I doubt if it will become my predominant style I shall none the less embrace it with gusto!So, here is abstract number two. The aptly named Cubes. Or perhaps Cubes in blocks of hot coloured hues. It echoes my love affair with red as I seek to create a series of multiple colour planes. Each a self contained frame, a building block supporting its neighbour. Certainly restrained as the boxes are compressed within the picture plane dynamic. Does this invoke a degree of tension or does it perhaps suggest a feeling of reassurance as solid almost phalanx like ranks reinforce our sense of security?This is the beautiful nature of the abstract. SJP's BittenWith so many celebrities starting their clothing line, it comes as no suprise that fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker was 'Bitten' by the designer bug.The Sex and the City star has teamed up with Steve and Barry's to produce a collection of clothing, footwear, and accessories.The new line will be available June 7th 2007. The collection has over 400 apparel and accessory items. There will also be a swimwear collection as part summer line. Check out the extensive collection of handbags, jewelry, belts, and of course shoes!The line provides quality clothes that are still incredibly affordable. The entire line is available at $20 and below. Bitten will be available in June at Steve and Barry's stores across the country.

Sneak Peek at SJP's New Line "Bitten"Word on the street says that Sarah Jessica Parker's new line, "Bitten" will consist of 500 pieces including cashmere sweaters, dresses, active wear, jeans and accessories. When I first heard about this line, I thought, "oh, another celebrity trying to be a designer, no big deal."However, the new rumor around the block is that the "Bitten" line will offer her designer duds for less than $20 a piece. Their tag line? Fashion is not a luxury, it's a right.What? Seriously...dresses, cashmere sweaters, jeans, accessories, knit tops and more are said to create the bulk of this 500 piece collection, due out in June. The above picture shows a sneak peek at what we can expect from this line, which appears to be casual but contemporary.I, for one, am now ecstatic.
