You can pick up a gallon of quality paint from your discount store for less than $10, which should cover the average bedroom, and make a quick and dramatic change in just a couple of hours. I usually lean towards platform beds for teens bedrooms because of the drawers underneath the mattress that offers storage. As well all know, teen girls have lots of stuff that needs to be packed somewhere and closet organization is usually not their strong point. Plain wooden platform beds work just fine so long as the construction is solid. They are so easy to build that your teen could put it together with the help of a couple of her girlfriends on site in the dorm room or at home. Some of the older girls that we work with want to leave themes and patterns behind when decorating their bedrooms. Tweens seem to look at eliminating the prints and motifs out labels their rooms as "big girl rooms". Teens who have established their identities as such aren't quite as adamant about the "no print" rules.
