Schools of thought for proper gem selection have basically completed a 180 degree turn from arena season one as compared to arena's today. Previously, players were forced to gem very defensively, stacking stamina and resilience. However, do to continued stat inflation, defensive stat stacking is no longer required. Without any defensive gems you can still sit comfortably at nearly 11,000 HP and 400 resilience unbuffed. This opened the door for rogues, allowing increased amounts of offensive stats to be gained and exploited, vastly increasing damage output. Assuming you are using a complete set of PvP gear you're sockets are going to look like this. Helm - 2 sockets (1 meta, 1 red) Necklace - 1 socket (1 yellow) Shoulders - 2 sockets (1 yellow, 1 red) Chest - 3 sockets (1 yellow, 2 red) Br

The druid / rogue combo is an excellent team matrix and has the potential to go to the highest ratings. At times it may seem weak, but with practice you'll learn to master the mechanics of coordinated crowd control that this matrix requires. As with any team, there are distinct advantages and disadvantages. Advantages: -Awesome crowd control via the druid -You can go out of combat (OOC) at pretty much any time if something goes wrong or you need mana. -Dual stealth. -Lots of control via the rogue's stuns and interrupts -Very strong cooldowns and the ability to kite quite well. -Ability to play both very offensively and defensively (spec depending) Disadvantage: -The druid must rely heavily on the rogue to lock down opposing targets, thus allowing the druid to crowd control and heal effect

This match is a hard one, so don't feel too bad losing to them. Luckily I play this combo, so I'll start by breaking them down: The opposing rogue will either be: Mutilate, Shadowstep or Deep Combat. In BG:Ruin, Shadowstep is definitely the most common of the three for this setup. Now as for the priest they will 9/10 times be deep disc meaning they have pain suppression. You've got sap, blind, cheap shot, kidney shot, kick, and gouge on the rogue front and fear, death coil, curses, and drains from the warlock. Determining the best enchants is no easy task. With so many available options out there it can be difficult to really understand the reasoning behind each choice. Since arena season 1 started enchanting theory has basically shifted from 100% defensive (stam and resilience) to 100% offensive (crit and attack power). This change is basically due to gear getting better and better, to the point that without any defensive enchants you could still be at nearly 11,000 hp and 400 resilience unbuffed. Alright so after much practice, advice from Zuggy and a bit of frustration I really think this strat is solid. Let's begin with breaking down a Frost Mage/Lock team: 1) The lock will be a 27/34/0 hybrid(not sure if that's the right order) 2)The mage will either be a full 61 point frost build OR Imp CS/Deep Frost(This one hurts way more) 3)This is one of those teams that are going to have one of you down within the first 30-60 sec of a match, so it's going to be fast. I know I said it in my original article, but I really think if you could pick two teams to sum up season 3, it'd be this matchup. Both teams have great synergy and are very fun to play, it's no wonder why so many people were attracted to them. So let's start out with understanding the basics of the opposing line up. Rogue / Mage / Priest: First off, the talent specs are going to be nearly the same every game. The rogue is going to be shadowstep 9 out of 10 games, in the off chance he isn't he'll be mutilate, making him a very easy target. Priest / rogue vs. druid / rogue is an interesting fight. Initially I didn't include this strategy in my guide simply because it's so rarely seen. That said, the strategy is somewhat similar to the way priest / rogue should fight druid / warrior. As far as target selection goes, the rogue needs to be on the other rogue. By doing this you basically force the other rogue onto you, if the other rogue attempts to go after your priest he exposes his back to you and you can just slam away at him. read more

Warriors are easily one of the most versatile classes in the game. Whether it is PvP or PvE they will always be needed and used. In PvP, being able to limit the damage a rogue is doing to your partners or even greatly increasing your own survivability can allow you to win.
