The new generation Business Center will be built using the latest technology, with luxurious shopping and recreational areas. This is a virtual visualization of the CITYDEL business center scheduled to be completed around the middle of 2007. The people from iCube Visualization are the one's who produced/directed this presentation. The fly-through animation starting at 2:45 is a great example of Construction Simulation, a medium which is gradually working its way up into the work places of 3d modelers, drafters and architects. Lots of interior shots in this one guys.

Here is more good stuff I saw at the show...let's look at tables. Tables send such a strong message about who lives in the home. Modern, traditional, formal, informal, textured, smooth, light, dark, light, heavy...these are just a few of the decisions one needs to make when contemplating the table in the context of the room and the home. Tables can also be a functional piece of artwork, and I am finding more and more, manufacturers are building and designing in practicality in terms of being able to refinish scratches, when they occur, which they will. Here is a lovely table. It IS a piece of art, at least to me. The table is made by the Asia Design Studio.  Designed by Na Winn, a talented Vietnamese artist.     I like City Joinery. I'm also a fan of the name.

Looks like San Francisco’s new Trans Bay Transit Terminal (affectionately dubbed the Tranny Shack by Curbed SF) is getting a lot of attention in the media. Just driving from one appointment to another yesterday I caught a log segment on NPR radio that discussed and debated the merits of the proposed designs. Take a look at some of these designs in the YouTube video above. The designs are interesting and you can see that the architectural firms involved in the pitch are spending some serious money to help decision makers visualize their concepts. One thing is clear, that SF will be replacing the current San Francisco Tranny Shack with some kind of stunning architectural building.
