I've finally got round to booking the car in for its service and MOT and so tried to book an appointment with the doctor for the same day. Inevitably there wasn't an appointment available so I'm going to have to nip out of work to go on Tuesday as well as taking Thursday off. I had an interview at Select Appointments (a recruitment company) in the city today and it went much better than I thought it would. They had me sit a few tests - on Word, Exel, typing, and data entry, and I got above average results on all 4. Typing and Word were the best ones by far, with 105 words per minute and 19 out of 20 correct answers for Word. Anyway, I hope to start getting temp jobs soon - I decided to go temp for now, to kind of suss out the waters of receptionist-ism. Oh and by the way, I am loving my new phone. It’s just too cool.

I mean the technology sounds great and the application very heart warming and applaudible but the reality? [Monday, 16 April, 2007]I only got to doze off at around 4.30am while having sore eyes and had to wake up at 6am to start preparing and giving Mingfa morning call. We met up at TG Pagar MRT and proceeded to Toa Payoh together.We were actually very early and Kelly arrived soon. Grace’s client came earlier than her. Soon, we proceeded to do everything without Kelly and Mingfa. Due to the fact that it was JTC’s flat, we got confused with the SD part. Grace was not very experienced. Anyway, when we were inside, Grace told me to leave the room because her client wanted to have privacy about her financial affairs.After coming out from the officer’s room, Kelly and Mingfa were there with Lincoln and the clients. I followed them as well and soon, the case was settled as well. I called Rahman but could not get through again. Kelly told me some agents did not want to entertain new agents. I had an emotionally exhausting team meeting with the psychiatric unit that Ebony resides at. At 14 we are running out of treatment options for her once she is discharged from this hospital which right now is set for June. We may be able to get another 6 month extension but it's doubtful since she is making no progress. Sometimes it is more exhausting to fight for her needs than it is to deal with everyday life in a large adoptive family.Nadia also had her long awaited appointed with a developmental specialist today. She came to us at 3 years old after she disrupted from three prior families. She is originally from Ukraine. We knew right away that her problem was Autism but today we learned that in addition to Autism she also has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. I'll need some time to process that myself but does help explain all her symptoms and processing problems. We have adult adopted children with FAS so it's not like it's new to us.
