Alkaline Trio - Agony and Irony
Boring catcy punky poo. This album has all of the elements of skate punk, eccept for it has all of the good bits taken out. It’s far too slow, it’s far too flat and it just insults me. The only previous work that I can clearly recall by Alkaline Trio, is their first two singles, ‘Stupid Kid’ [...]

      Math Agony
I have a been in a state of agitation and stress for the past four weeks. Before Holy Week came, my son had informed me that he was failing in Math 17. Why? You were fine the first two months of the second semester. Well, things happen, he said. Yes. More like, I haven't been studying? Before the finals, I was constantly breathing down his neck for him to study. His teacher said he needs to perfect the take-home exams ( which I swear, is highly impossible for mere mortals like us to do) and get at least 66% in his finals. My son did not reach the limits but got a 4 instead. A grade of 4 entitles a student for removal exams. A student has a year to take his removals.Oh no! You will not dilly-dally with your removal exams. Ask your teacher when and where is the removals: April 9, 3:00 pm-5:00

      SHORT FEATURE: PRINCES IN AGONY
Just in case you don't recognize these little ditties, this is the song Agony and its reprise from the Broadway production of Into The Woods. If you don't know the play, don't worry, it won't take long to recognize these are the fabled Charming brothers singing of their princely woes. Also perfectly obvious is what's wrong with these idiots. But since I've had the audacity to include the word catechism in my blog title, it's probably a good idea to include something from The Catechism to further clarify things. "The chaste person maintains the integrity of the powers of life and love placed in him. This integrity ensures the unity of the person; it is opposed to any behavior that would impair it. It tolerates neither a double life nor duplicity in speech. Chastity includes an a

November 24, 2007It has been no secret that shortly after September 11, 2001, the kook anti-war left solidly opposed any retribution towards the radical Jihadists that have been attacking American interests, both abroad and at home now, for the past three decades. Maybe a bit more of a surprise, but not totally, was watching as a political party, smelling an opportunity to sweep back into power, joined forces with and followed the lead of the kook anti-war left in America.Shortly after the invasion of Afghanistan the New York Times ran an editorial titled, "A Military Quagmire Remembered: Afghanistan as Vietnam." Following that months later was the inclusion of Saddam Hussein's Iraq in the War on Terror, meeting constant opposition from leftists and most Democrats, even those that voted to go to war in Iraq originally.Apparently reliving the glory days of the anti-war movement during the latter years of the Viet Nam Conflict, aging hippies with their graying pony tails resurrected man

This is a footage from recording showing the cellos, background vocals and choir as well. It starts with cello and violin notes combined with marching drums and choir, which actually remind me Rhapsody. Oh, I haven’t posted any vids from Rhapsody. Gotta do that next.. Anyhow, the song continues rising until the the death grunts and Simone’s clear vocals. There is a nice break in the middle after which the song continues faster until the last rise before violins and marching drums of the the final. Second there can be a strong bond between the two of you (or you just love to play with handcuffs.. whatever you like better). Everything seems like a wonderful rose, but this rose has thorns. So you may get hurt and your heart can break sooner or later. There will be some tears you will drop - but time goes by, still and steady. Sometimes you will be a little devil.. sometimes you will be a little angel - but finally your broken heart will heal. And there will be a happy end...Download here

      Pain and agony
Down below are two paragraphs clipped from a post blogged by Glen Barry of Earth Meanders. He describes the deep pain and agony that has come upon him along his ecological quest. It is a very personal piece and it seems as if he is near the edge of mental collapse. Perhaps his writing helps him decompress some of the emotional pressure built up inside. I hope so. Glen Barry had gotten 42 comments on the post when I last checked. It was interesting to see in what ways people had reacted. There was a wide variety of attitudes to the problem. What is yours? Please check the poll at the top of my right sidebar and vote. clipped from earthmeanders.blogspot.comThis week a leading scientist reported what many of us already knew and intuited: that climate change has already surpassed critical thresholds that ensure it will be dangerous and deadly. Increasingly humanity is called upon to come to terms with the fact that our habitat and societies are almost certainly going to fail. I believ

Do not expect to find cheap Internet Cafes here. Per hour of Internet usage ranges from 300 to 500 Yen per hour depending on what city you live in.3.) Train stations here are very confusing.4.) There are no accessible public markets unlike in the Philippines. All food products are contained in styro containers. Costs around 400 to 1000 Yen depending on the food.5.) Japan is very advance in terms of communications. But do not expect to find pre-paid sim cards here. Only pre-paid cellphones but the price is too high.6.) Do not expect to find cheap laundry here. There are coin laundry shops here but it costs too much. Also, please bring IRON when you come here because it costs around 200 yen per piece of item just for the ironing.

      The agony of da feet
Okay, I don’t want to turn this blog into Waiter Rant, but why is it that people still don’t know how to tip when they go out to eat? Why do people still think it’s okay to tip $1 on a $40 bill, even though they’ve had good service? That happened to my trainer today. I’ve waited tables before, so it’s not like bad tippers are new to me, but it still pisses me off. There’s so much talk about this kind of stuff - at least, online anyway - that it amazes me that people still don’t know how to act. I thought it was fairly common knowledge that you’re supposed to tip 15-20% of your bill in restaurants. I know it’s less common knowledge that most servers aren’t even paid minimum wage hourly - say hello to $2.63/hour! A lot of people probably also don’t realize that many restaurants require servers to share their tips with the barstaff, cooks, and dish room employees - none of whom are being paid the low rate of $2.6

Mark Redman can now bring agony to Texas
Well, Mark Redman didn't stay unemployed for very long. The Texas Rangers signed Redman today and he's expected to start for AAA Oklahoma this week.If Texas wanted someone that can toss batting practice for the opponents and bring pure grief to its fans, then signing Redman was a great move. If it was actual pitching that they were looking for, then this will turn out as unpleasant as giving a colonic to a water buffalo.Really, I find it hard to believe that the Rangers are so desperate for pitching that they would give Redman a shot. I'm convinced that you could put a rusty lawnmower on the mound and it would still have better stuff than Redman. So yes, the losers in all of this are the Rangers fans, who's eyes will now bleed and puke uncontrollably every time Marky Mark takes the hill. Now NTU undergrads, please don't start comparing, because you all take more modules but cover lesser in each module. Besides, you all get to do Industrial Attachment as a compulsory module. We don't. Most of us want to but it would mean 1) overloading modules, like how I've done so, and 2) having to take evening modules during the Industrial Attachment itself. But sometimes, I don't know why I overload modules for. I'm not planning to do Industrial Attachment (and 'henta khaki'? You siao ah?). Overloading gets to me when I don't have any free time. Especially for 3 consecutive semesters.
