How to make your blog more Attractive to Advertisers
Many blogger get most of the money with advertising. If your site has good PR or uv/month, then higher is the advertising prize. If you have s site with PR 4, you can get up to 40$/month with a banner on your site, but the uv/month is also important. Text link ads are cheaper, but you have more place on your blog to add them. So try to make a place on your blog, just for advertising (usually in top of the sidebar). Try to make 2 spots, one for banner (most of pro blogger use 125×125 banner), you can have up to 6 or 8 banners on your blog. And one spot for text link ads, usually in blogroll or recommended sites section. You can get a lot of money by following this steps. But then you ask your self a question, what I do to attract Advertisers, so they will advertise on my blog? Here are some steps: (more…)

RSS Count: The New PageRank For Advertisers?
If you did not heard of it before, a new paid service is offering to increase the RSS count of blogs. The service was using John Chow name but used another email address and fake testimonials. That’s stupid but raised another issue for advertisers. Can a blogger do it? Sure, a blogger just need to create a few hundreds free emails(Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail…) and thus be able to raised the RSS count at no cost. A blogger could create a few domains and also do the same. A blogger will also have to request the RSS feed for each email everyday and that will take a little time. The thing, it is not ethical at all and may bite the blogger in the butt. It’s something that advertisers will have to be aware now. Is the RSS count the new PageRank for advertisers? Google PageRank was often seen as ranking that showed popularity. Buying a few paid text links and you will be able to get a high PageRank within a few months. It’s harder now with the last PageRank

      My Best PPC Advertisers
When choosing a PPC advertiser, they all have their Pro’s and Con’s. Most publishers care about the bottom line: how much money can each one make. In this article I will be ranking in order the most common PPC networks by how profitable they are for webmasters and bloggers.Ranking of most profitable PPC advertisers:Google Adsense: - Google Adsense is definitely the biggest PPC earner across the board. Google adsense has the most advertisers and therefore their keyword bids are usually the most profitable for web publishers. Their strict TOS, and measures against click fraud, leads me to think is another large reason why they are the most profitable of all of the PPC advertising networks. This can be good for advertisers moreso then web publishers because they know they are less likely to be spending money on frequent click fraud.Another reason why Google adsense is so profitable is because they are contextual, meaning the ads they serve up automatically are relevant to the page tex

      Picky advertisers
Although the vast majority of the paid posts which we do are accepted without any problem, now and again you get a rejection, usually because we’ve missed something or other in the requirements or simply because we’ve mistyped a URL for one of the links. Fair enough in those cases, and they’re generally easy to fix and resubmit. What’s becoming more and more common though are rejections because the advertiser decided after he’d bought the advertising that really his criteria for acceptance weren’t those that he had stated originally ie he changes the goalposts. Now I do accept that it can be difficult to know in advance what you really want from a blog based advertising campaign but what’s not acceptable is to put a “ban” on someone who has written a post in good faith. For instance, I recently received one of these “bans” which stated that my blog wasn’t hosted in the UK and didn’t cover female topics. In fa

      Mobile Advertisers Embrace the iPhone
Are declarations about the iPhone changing mobile an overstatement? Perhaps. But Omar Hamoui, CEO and founder of mobile ad network AdMob, said the iPhone is definitely opening some exciting doors. "What's important for mobile advertising is, obviously, to have the eyeballs or user base to consume the advertising," said Hamoui. "The original assumption behind the iPhone was you can browse the entire Web on your iPhone. What a logical person would think, therefore, was that the iPhone was going to have the same advertising you see on the Web. So why would a company design special ads for the iPhone? There is no need." But Hamoui, whose company just released a special ad unit designed for the iPhone, said the assumption was wrong. Just because iPhones have browsers capable of rendering the "real" Internet and not just WAP sites doesn't mean there's no need for ad units specially designed for iPhones. "We run a mobile ad network," he said. "We started to see a significant amount of iPho

Pay Per Sale Affiliate Programs is the best For Advertisers?
Pay per sale affiliate programs have been around since the beginning of the affiliate marketing business, and due to it’s obvious fairness, it is still a popular commission model. The number of programs offering this commission model are plenty, far more than any other model available online. The reasons for its popularity are many, but a big reason is advertisers full control over the margins. With any other commission mode, the advertiser needs to calculate the conversion ratio, number of sales and size of purchases very carefully to eliminate the risk of overpaying for clicks, leads or impressions. With the PPS model, advertisers know they will only pay a specific percentage of each sale, making every new affiliate - no matter how successful - will contribute to the revenue of the affiliate program. Advertisers using other commission models stand a much greater risk of having a new affiliate join, only to see him send nothing but non-converting traffic, thus getting paid for n

Wired: Advertisers waste millions in Second Life
Wired has an article on how corporations jumped in Second Life without really understanding what they were getting into. The end result: millions of dollars spent on virtual headquarters or "brand experience"than no one visits and plenty of marketers with nothing to show for their money but for learning how to create an avatar and stroll around. I came to a similar conclusion earlier this year: unless brands provide something of real value to SL users (which is NOT glorified advertising), why should they bother?

      _______Invite Google Adwords advertisers directly_______
Google Adsense publishers can invite Adwords advertisers to advertise on their websites. The "Advertise on this site" link is contained in the Adsense panel. Advertisers clicking on this link are taken to the Adwords sign-up page. There is a however a downside to this approach. If Google ads system can't find targetted ads for your webpage, there won't be any advertising invitation on that page.Using some simple HTML code listed below, you can actually add a "Advertise on this site" link to your blog or website even outside a Adsense ad unit. The advertising link can be added anywhere on your website or weblog independent of the location of the adsense panel.http://adwords.google.com/select/OnsiteSignupLandingPage?client=ca-pub-xxx&referringUrl=<$BlogItemPermalinkURL$>&hl=en&gl=INRembember to replace ca-pub-xxx with your own adsense client ID. MoveOn.org to Pressure Fox News Advertisers
MoveOn.org has found it’s latest target. They will be going after Fox News. What is the best way to go after a media outlet? By going after the advertisers on that outlet. Take away the money and you take away the outlet. MoveOn.org, the Campaign for America’s Future and liberal blogs like DailyKos.com are asking thousands of supporters to monitor who is advertising on the network. Once a database is gathered, an organized phone-calling campaign will begin, said Jim Gilliam, vice president of media strategy for Brave New Films, a company that has made anti-Fox videos.   You may wonder if such censorship could have legs. FOOA: Bloggers and advertisers: year-long breakup for a one-night stand?
Presenting himself as the dating consultant for the seemingly stressful relationship between bloggers and advertisers, Darren Rowse of Problogger took to the FOOA stage towards the tail end of the conference. Rowse, well known for making a decent income from blogging, explained that even though there remains a large percentage of bloggers who make little or no money, the indirect sources of income seem to be growing exponentially. Indirect methods for making money from your blog include book deals, speaking and writing gigs, employment opportunities and more.Rowse went on to explain that advertisers need to understand that bloggers are approached everyday. In order to create content that resonates, consider collaborating with bloggers on advertising, rather than just pushing something out there. Jay Adelson had also echoed this recommendation from the panel before, showing examples of integrated Diggnation ads. Though Rowse's bullets were clear and to the point, one might question why
