What I didn’t expect is the sharp decline of offers to do sponsored reviews from advertisers. When Blogging Mix was still [...]

How to make your blog more Attractive to Advertisers
Many blogger get most of the money with advertising. If your site has good PR or uv/month, then higher is the advertising prize. If you have s site with PR 4, you can get up to 40$/month with a banner on your site, but the uv/month is also important. Text link ads are cheaper, but you have more place on your blog to add them. So try to make a place on your blog, just for advertising (usually in top of the sidebar). Try to make 2 spots, one for banner (most of pro blogger use 125×125 banner), you can have up to 6 or 8 banners on your blog. And one spot for text link ads, usually in blogroll or recommended sites section. You can get a lot of money by following this steps. But then you ask your self a question, what I do to attract Advertisers, so they will advertise on my blog? Here are some steps: (more…)

      Boycott Gamespot advertisers
Well the fall out from this Gamespot ordeal is just starting to gain momentum. While most people have just decided to stop using Gamespot (myself included) some people are taking it that one step further. They are trying to organise a consumer boycott of every product that is advertised on Gamespot. Which at this very moment is…. Absolutely no one, that right the only person currently advertising on the front page of Gamespot is Cnet.co.uk (Gamespots parents company) So do you think all this negative attention has scared away the advertisers? Personally I hope so. Once people stop trusting online reviews it becomes bad for all of us. In lighter news, please head on over to www.destructoid.com and take a look at their new banner. Personally I think their parody of the Gamepot website (header) is absolutely brilliant. Gamespot Boycotts Get Nasty

PayPerPost to soon include a no-follow option for advertisers
Payperpost these days is one of my most greatest source of income from this blog. But recently most of PayPerPost members have been slapped by Google and downgraded to pr0 because of the new Google laws!If you have more page rank you will get paid more in oppurtinities at payperpost. Thanks god i was not slapped, after this recent slap payperpost has managed to create a new ranking system called "Real Rank" it is not that effective though because advertisers still do care about Google PR more then Real RankSo in a couple of weeks payperpost said that it will be offering advertisers an option of purchasing the no-follow tags in their reviews here is what they had to say in their blog:By weeks end we will roll out a new No-follow option for advertisers in PayPerPost. No-follow has always been something that advertisers could specifically ask for, now we have made it as easy as clicking a button. Bloggers that are more comfortable with no-follow sponsored posts should hopefully see more an

RSS Count: The New PageRank For Advertisers?
If you did not heard of it before, a new paid service is offering to increase the RSS count of blogs. The service was using John Chow name but used another email address and fake testimonials. That’s stupid but raised another issue for advertisers. Can a blogger do it? Sure, a blogger just need to create a few hundreds free emails(Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail…) and thus be able to raised the RSS count at no cost. A blogger could create a few domains and also do the same. A blogger will also have to request the RSS feed for each email everyday and that will take a little time. The thing, it is not ethical at all and may bite the blogger in the butt. It’s something that advertisers will have to be aware now. Is the RSS count the new PageRank for advertisers? Google PageRank was often seen as ranking that showed popularity. Buying a few paid text links and you will be able to get a high PageRank within a few months. It’s harder now with the last PageRank

      My Best PPC Advertisers
When choosing a PPC advertiser, they all have their Pro’s and Con’s. Most publishers care about the bottom line: how much money can each one make. In this article I will be ranking in order the most common PPC networks by how profitable they are for webmasters and bloggers.Ranking of most profitable PPC advertisers:Google Adsense: - Google Adsense is definitely the biggest PPC earner across the board. Google adsense has the most advertisers and therefore their keyword bids are usually the most profitable for web publishers. Their strict TOS, and measures against click fraud, leads me to think is another large reason why they are the most profitable of all of the PPC advertising networks. This can be good for advertisers moreso then web publishers because they know they are less likely to be spending money on frequent click fraud.Another reason why Google adsense is so profitable is because they are contextual, meaning the ads they serve up automatically are relevant to the page tex

      Picky advertisers
Although the vast majority of the paid posts which we do are accepted without any problem, now and again you get a rejection, usually because we’ve missed something or other in the requirements or simply because we’ve mistyped a URL for one of the links. Fair enough in those cases, and they’re generally easy to fix and resubmit. What’s becoming more and more common though are rejections because the advertiser decided after he’d bought the advertising that really his criteria for acceptance weren’t those that he had stated originally ie he changes the goalposts. Now I do accept that it can be difficult to know in advance what you really want from a blog based advertising campaign but what’s not acceptable is to put a “ban” on someone who has written a post in good faith. For instance, I recently received one of these “bans” which stated that my blog wasn’t hosted in the UK and didn’t cover female topics. In fa
