Officers were called to a residence in the 300 block of Florence Ave. in reference to a male subject holding two female’s hostage with a shotgun in an apparent domestic situation. Upon arrival officers found that the females who were related to the suspect had managed to escape from the house and were no longer in danger, but had been held and threatened prior to police arrival. After securing a perimeter, negotiations were begun with the suspect who came outside but then ran back in after an attempt was made to take him into custody. There is not much that needs to be said about this lamp, the photo says it all. The Alien Abduction lamp by Lasse Klein is just so cool; the sci-fi inspired lamp features a UFO that lights up, hovering above the ground, thanks to the glass support that looks like a tractor beam with suspended cow (in this case). One press of the antenna and the UFO light’s up, revealing the alien inside and down through the glass base. This is still in the concept phase, but I am sure that if it goes into production it will be a winner. This has to be a must for all sci fi fans and ufo abductees too, the ufo which emits a beam to pick a cow from field, is very funny and the way that it has been design is really great, the beam is like a cone which replaces the stand, while the ufo sits on top with little aliens looking out if the windows at what going on. The space ship has an antenna on its roof, this is the light switch, and by press it down this turns it on and off, and by turning the antenna this will enable the beam of light to pulsate.
This lamp is still in the concept stage, but after they have ironed out any problems that they may find then this is going to hit the stores and do very well indeed.

Thursday 10, 2007 - Wednesday evening a domestic dispute resulted in abduction and gun charges being lodged against Tommy Moore, 51, of Weyers Cave who was armed when sheriff’s deputies arrived at his home. Moore is charged with abduction, reckless handling of a firearm, domestic assault and drunk in public. Moore reportedly argued with his 48-year-old wife and placed her in the backyard behind locked gates. His wife escaped and went to a neighbor’s house and called 911. When authorities arrived at the home on Harper Street Moore was sitting in a chair in the backyard holding a revolver. After being ordered to drop the weapon, Moore was arrested. Moore is being held at the Middle River Regional Jail in Verona.
