Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, and John Paul Jones are reuniting with Jason Bonham, son of Led Zeppelin drummer John "Bonzo" Bonham, as part of a tribute show for the late Ahmet Eregun, founder of Atlantic Records, Led Zeppelin's label, and chairman of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.In the past, the surviving members of Zep have gotten together a few times for similar benefits and tributes, but something seems different this time. Mothership I was really pumped for the release of the ultimate Led Zeppelin offering, but got frustrated when I had to pull out the Cd’s from the sleeves. They should include pliers with the packaging. Snug like you would not believe, I am more afraid they will get scratched than anything. Either way the sound is out of this world.

It is still completely unofficial, but it has been strongly suggested that the idea of a 2008 Led Zeppelin reunion tour is finally in the works. Ian Astbury, lead singer of The Cult revealed during a recent gig that the band have been asked to support Led Zeppelin in their 2008 tour. He is reported to have said: "We'll be back next year, because we're opening for a band you may have heard of. The name starts with an 'L' and has a 'Z' in it." A fan in the audience shouted "Led Zeppelin?" to which the singer nodded, confirming his suspicions. We are still awaiting official confirmation on a tour from the band's management, so stay tuned for the latest info.

Zeppelin's spokesperson added that no decision has been made on any Led Zeppelin tour and the band is simply focusing on its appearance at the Ahmet Ertegun tribute concert in London on December 10; a Cult spokesperson declined to answer questions about Astbury's comment. Anyone hear the news yet? As you may know, Led Zeppelin is holding a reunion concert on November 26th at the O2 Arena in London. The other day... When Rolling Stone Magazine asked Jimmy Page whether there will be any new Led Zeppelin tunes/albums, the guitar god said, “Look, I’d be really surprised if there wasn’t - you know, I mean I just know the way we are. We’re musicians…as we’re playing we’ll probably be coming up with all manner of things.” However, it seems Robert Plant is a little less "whatever happens, happens" about the reformed Led Zeppelin. He's the one who told the press that there was only going to be one LZ reunion show and not an all-out concert tour. Like Plant has anything musically better to do... His solo albums aren't exactly at the top of the Billboards. LZ, don't worry about spoiling your past records! We want to hear what the new, matured Zep sounds like!

Jimmy page from Led Zeppelin has hinted that the band is to record some new tracks, this is great news for the fans and if we are lucky they might play one or two new tracks at London’s 02 Arena next month, which is when the band starts their reunion concert. Music News has reported that John Paul Jones from the band has also said that the band has not ruled out further plans. However I cannot see Led Zeppelin being able to play any new tracks in time for the O2 concert in London next month, as the band has been apart for some time now and it will take time for the band to get their act together as all of their time will be taken up by gig rehearsals. Although the band is playing a tribute show for Ahmet Ertegun, the founder of Atlantic Records, they aren’t planning on staging a full fledged tour afterwards according to Robert Plant. Of course, Robert Plant also said that there would never be a reunion either.
