What started life as a Bentley GT Speed has been taken and transformed by Zagato into something that has the style and presence to contend with the scion of the best luxury automobiles. The Bentley, now named the GTZ Zagato, features extensive but subtle bodywork from the famed and legendary design house of Zagato Atelier, and was revealed to the world at the 2008 Geneva Auto Show. The most obvious
This extremely rare Zagato Flavia Sport Coupe 1.8 that’s located in California has been put up for sale on Craigslist. The 2+2 Lancia based coupe with the unconventional design was produced by Carozzeria Zagato from 1963 to 1967. According to the details provided by the seller in a previous (unsuccessful) auction on eBay, of the 626 units produced, only a handful of models remain intact today. The specific car was originally delivered to France and spent the last five years garaged in Scotland before coming to the USA. The Zagato Flavia Sports Coupe is powered by a 1.8-liter flat 4-cylinder engine from Lancia that produces 100 Hp. Not the prettiest car that has come out of Italian design studios, but nevertheless a unique piece. It could be yours for $30,000.
Based on a Continental GT Speed and using the same mechanicals, the Bentley GTZ is Zagato Atelier's take on the luxury GT. The design employs a series of very pronounced feature lines to differentiate it from its more common cousin, and a rear end that is fittingly appropriate of an extravagant cruiser. From the front, the bespoke hood features airvents cut into the side to help the large V12 breathe, while the defining Bentley headlamps have been retained. The imposing grille has also been amplified, gaining the height of a European license plate which will fit into it. A front splitter has been added beneath a mesh insert which spans the width of the car, incorporating the front fog lamps. But there is the new addition of a side lamp intersecting the taut crease line which runs over the fr

This may come as a bit of a surprise to anyone who's been following the agonizing bit-by-bit release of a number of concept cars in advance of the Geneva Motor Show,
but one Italian design studio has chosen to forgo the teasing and
release all the details of its show car all at once. In fact, we hadn't
heard anything about Zagato's coachbuilt Bentley since the initial report from last December, but the famed Milanese carrozzeria
has revealed that it will be unveiling the car at the show now only days away.
Called the Bentley Continental GTZ, following the familiar nomenclature last seen on the 2006 Ferrari 575 GTZ, Zagato's interpretation on the stately grand tourer manages to be instantly recognizable as both a Bentley and a Zagato design. Based on the effortlessly fast Continental G
Just over six months after childhood friends Marcello Binda (President of Wyler Geneve’s parent company, the Binda Group) and Andrea Zagato (President of the eponymous company) first announced the partnership between exclusive atelier and luxury watch brand, the two companies are proud to present in record time a timepiece that perfectly combines the DNA of both brands. At the exclusive Atelier Zagato near Milan, Zagato president Andrea Zagato used the new Wyler-Zagato watch as an example to illustrate the entire design process at Zagato, from the initial sketch to the prototype through the CNC model. Throughout the evening event, the presence of legendary Zagato automobiles from past decades served as a constant reminder of the Zagato design philosophy that is found in the Wyler-Zagato watch. The high-end timepiece uses the same case, made of highly resistant titanium, as Wyler Geneve’s exclusive tourbillon models and features a shock-absorbing case design in which the movement is h

Zagato is a famed Italian design firm known for some of its quirky modifications on conventional sports cars. Ferrari and Maserati are frequent customers and styling is love it or hate it. First shown in Geneva, Zagato's reincarnation of the Diatto marque resulted as the Diatto GT Ottovu. Zagato will put the Diatto into production with a mere 99 units. The Diatto marque dates back to some 170 years. Known prominent as builders of fine horse-carriages, the Turin-based firm moved on to luxury train cars and later as one of the first automobile makers. The brand slowly vanished from the luxury car league during the pre-war era.The Diatto GT Ottovu is based on an in-house steel frame with aluminum body. The front-engine vehicle is powered by Ford's 4.6L V8 with tune-ups by Roush and Cosworth, resulting in a staggering 530hp. Zagato claims the car can propel itself to 60 in the three-second area, which is stunning by the numbers itself.99 examples mean it's just as difficult in getting yo
Based off Maserati's GranSport Spyder, the GS Zagato is swathed in all-new aluminum body panels and adorned with a "Z" on the fenders and the automaker's trident in the grille. The hatchback design may be off-putting at first glance (all we had before were these shots), but once viewed as a whole, the smooth lines and gentle contours make the GS a subdued, yet powerful coupe.[Source: Autoblog]Continued- Hi-res image gallery, articleInspired by the 1954 Maserati A6 G Zagato, the world-renowned designer, Paolo Boffi, has created a fitting successor to the iconic automobile in the form of the GS Zagato Coupe.Speaking of power, the 400 HP V8 has remained, along with the six-speed semi-automatic gearbox. According to Zagato, torsional rigidity has been increased, while the wheelbase has been shortened by 180mm to make it as competent in the corners as it is on the concourse.

Zagato has been very busy as of late. At the Geneva Motor Show in March it debuted two models, the Diatto Ottovu and the Spyker C12 Zagato. Today the company revealed that it's now collaborating with Maserati to produce the Maserati GS Zagato. The GS is a one-off commisioned by Paolo Boffi, a furnishings and luxury designer who apparently doesn't like to buy his cars off the shelf. It's inspired by the Maserati A6 G Zagato, although only pics of the rear have been released, so we'll have to take their word on that for now.[Source: Autoblog]Continued- Article, more images, official press releaseBased on the Maserati GranSport Spyder, the GS Zagato is two-seat touring hatch skinned with an all-aluminum body. Not much else is known about the car, so we can only assume it uses the same mechanicals as the Spyder, which means a 4.2L V8 producing 400 horsepower. Zagato loves to play dress up with other company's cars, and the GS Zagato is no different. It will make its official debut at

24. No, that's not Kiefer Sutherlands favorite number, it's the number of units Spyker will build of this ultra limited-edition C12 Zagato. Designed in conjunction with the famed Zagato styling house that brought us such cars as the old Aston Martin DB4 Zagato and the newer Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Zagato Coupe, the C12 Zagato was designed in the wake of Spyker of acquiring the Midland Formula 1 team and therefore incorporates some F1 design cues into long and highly ornate body. Based on Spyker's flagship C12 model, the Zagato version uses a 6.0L W12 engine sourced from the only company in the world who makes those engines – Volkswagen. Here it produces 500bhp (a supercharger can be added that bumps power to 650bhp) and will launch the relatively lightweight (3,086 lbs.) C12 Zagato to 60 mph in a short 3.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 193 mph. From all reports, Spyker's handle about as well as a 1989 Chevy Silverado (we've never driven one ourselves, and probably won't
