Adding to our list of youngsters to look out for at Euro 2008 is Joao Moutinho. The 21-year-old looked impressive throughout the opening game of the championships. His passing and ball control was magnificent. Moutinho is already captain of his club side-Sporting Lisbon, and his maturity was evident. His pin-point passing and fantastic vision could prove to be a fantastic asset to the Portuguese.T
The rush of giddy energy that defined the first Los Campesinos! EP continues unabated on Hold On Now, Youngster. Vocals pile on top of one another -- at the outset of "Broken Heartbeats Sound Like Breakbeats," the Welsh group can't even get through the count-off without yelling happily over one another's numbers -- and the relative solitude of the song's conclusion is just a feint before "Don't Tell Me To Do the Math(s)," which continues the dual vocal yelling over a madcap pace that's nevertheless more melodic and hooky than most of the groups who surround them on their new label.

DeAndra Anrig's Kite Flight into History20 Years Ago, Kite-Flying History was MadeTwenty years ago today, 8-year-old DeAndra Anrig got the ride of her young life and was forever immortalized in the lore of kite-flying.DeAndra was flying her kite when a low-flying twin-engine plane caught her kite's 200-pound nylon test line and carried her up into the air about 10 feet, over her stunned father's head and almost into a tree before she let go.Her exciting 100-foot journey left her bruised and sore and grounded the plane, which was damaged by the tangled kite string.Although her trip by kite was only 100 feet, it probably seemed a lot longer--both to the passenger and to her father.DeAndra lives in California and was on a picnic with her friends at Shoreline Park about 30 miles south of San F
Arsenal have snapped up another young talent from Barcelona's feeder club, Ignasi Miguel, a centre back of some pedigree. This story was first broken by the Telegraph. Obviously there is a long way to go for the lad, and very few of these highly rated youngsters make as first team regulars, however it's still promising for the club, as Arsenal is seen as a club that will put young players into

A leading daily wrote that "youngsters are turning away from BPO jobs because they have finally realised that the stress and abuse in a BPO is not worth the money they are paid". There were also a few excerpts from comments made by a couple of college going students. There was something similar about what all of them said. They had a comment to make about the "Pseudo names" being used, the "abuses" one faces from customers and the "24/7" environment.
A few questions that come to my mind is:
Is 24/7 environment something that is new to us? Our factories have always worked 24/7 which employees working shifts. So what is it that is new about it? Why is it that the youth is afraid of working 24/7.
Which "abuses" are we talking about?I have heard these very college going people abusing customer care executives at Indian call centers serving them for their mobile phone queries.Do we have the right to comment when we ourselves do not know how to behave. We have a tendency of even abusing each

Stay tuned after tonight's Cubs/Padres game for San Diego's No. 1 news team!
Well, Cub fans, you wanted him, now you've got him. Sean Marshall, making his 2007 big-league debut. He's tall. He's lanky. He's a southpaw. And he's our No. 5 starter (for now, at least).
I must have totally blocked last season out of my head for good (which really isn't a bad thing), because I do not remember Marshall starting 24 games in 2006. Anyway, he had a 6-9 record with a 5.59 ERA. He was hitting right around 90 mph in the minors before being called up, and has a nasty curve when he can control it. Out for the Padres is David Wells, who, uh, could pass for Hurley on Lost if he had long, curly hair. This guy is LARGE. The roster lists him at 248 pounds, which is about 52 short. But as the saying goes, fat chicks dudes need love too, right? So, here you go, Boomer.
Wells is now in his 20th season and has been quite erratic. I know I say this a lot, but a supposed power lineup like the Cubs

Theo Walcott has always struck me as a footballer with more sense than most, he carries an assurance on the pitch that defies his years and recent quotes attributed to him following his decision to discuss his future with Arsene Wenger prove that he has head screwed on right.
