Sen. Collins has an op-Ed today in Foster's (her second this week?) with all the usual talking points on energy independence. We've written before about the junior senator's timid approach to the energy crisis, one that won't come anywhere near solving the core problems. But this piece gets our attention for a different reason: Reading it, you could be forgiven for concluding that the energy debate

If you picked up the new album today, you opened it up to find a black CD. Put upon putting it in your computer and listening to it for a while, you’ll find the CD isn’t black anymore when you take it out……
I popped the burned copy or Year Zero that I’ve been listening to since last week out of my car’s CD player, and popped in the new black NIN Cd. I listened to Hyperpower! and was amazed at how much better it sounded than the 256KBps version that was on my burn. I took the original out so I could put in the burned copy and compare the two only to see that the new disc was light tan in color now. As I looked at it, I noticed that the spot under my thumb had turned white. I shrieked like a delighted schoolgirl. That’s some cool ass shit

Nine Inch Nails' 2007 release Year Zero will undoubtedly go down in rock history for the way the recording was marketed before its release. It may mark the first time that the advance strategy -- conceived of and executed, for the most part, by NIN auteur Trent Reznor himself with 42 Entertainment -- became part and parcel of the edifice that is the
Every track adds value to the overall statement of Year Zero: It's as much about hardline liberal politics (as much as he cares to do) as it is about hard rock entertainment. Reznor has said his concept of how society will eventually collapse--marking the start of the end of the modern world--came to him in a recurring daydream, making the album strangely that much more prophetic.
Are you enjoying with the new NIN? It seems that we're enjoying. I've never been a diehard fan of this band?¿. As one person project, NIN draws its own world lyrically and musically. On "Year Zero", you can see his mastering effort on electronic music that has connection between metal, ambient, industrial. And also this is the most personal Trent Reznor work. It's mainly speaking of industrial

Trent Reznor and NIN have produced an awesome marketing campaign around their upcoming album Year Zero. Check out this excerpt from wikipedia synopsis of the whole act: "On February 12, 2007,fans found that a new Nine Inch Nials tour T-shirt containedhighlighted letters that spell out the words "I am trying to believe." It was discovered that iamtryingtobelieve.com was registered as awebsite, and soon several related websites were found in the IP range, all describing a dystopian vision of the world fifteen years in the future. Many events reported on these websites take place in the year "0000." Digit Online later reported that 42 Entertainment had created these websites to promote Year Zero. Rolling Stone described the fan involvement in this promotion as the "marketing team's dream."Trent Reznor has however stated, "The term 'marketing' sure is afrustrating one for me at the moment. What you are now starting toexperience IS 'year zero'. It's not some kind of gimmick to get y
