Gmail vs. Yahoo Mail: A Quick Comparison
There is no doubt that Yahoo Mail dominates the market, based on statistics by Hitwise US. But in my opinion, a users satisfaction with the service is a better barometer of which is actually better. Choosing an email service depends on ones preference. Some users may like customizeability, some may like how attachments are displayed, and some may like the security features in the different mail carriers. Personally, though, Im a fan of great user interfaces, and my preference for my web mail provider would depend on how good the interface is (hint: I prefer Gmail).
Ive been a Yahoo! Mail user long before Gmail was invented. But as soon as Gmail was announced (and as soon as I got an invite), I was hooked. But some people might still prefer Yahoo!. Heres a quick comparison of how Gmail and Yahoo Mail (classic) differ these days.

Probablemente una de las características que más se necesita en “los otros” servicios de correo, es decir, Yahoo y Hotmail, es la posibilidad de re-enviar los mensajes recibidos en dichas cuentas, a otra, a través de POP3, característica que sólo ofrece Gmail, entre los grandes competidores de correo web.

According to ZDNet, Yahoo will be offering unlimited storage for it's email service starting in May! This will make Yahoo the first company to provide unlimited storage, but definetely not the last! I'm sure Google is not going to take this lightly and will try to annouce something that will blow Yahoo out of the water. I see that Yahoo has added integrated chat within their mail client, much like Google did several months ago.
As someone who loves Gmail but has never bothered with the integrated chat, I wonder if this is something that lots of folks are using, or if Yahoo did this purely as a “we have it too” feature?
