My 20 month old is too young to really understand what’s going on at this time of year but he sure does love the beautiful lights, trees and gifts that he’s seeing everywhere and he does seem to know that because he’s a child he needs to be extremely crazy. For that reason and so many more, we are loving the new Celtic Dreamland CD from Putamayo Kids.
I’ve always enjoyed the sound of Celtic tunes and this CD celebrates its’ softer, more tranquil side. While it hasn’t calmed our son’s frenzy on the whole (that was just wishful thinking…) he does love to sit quietly on my knee and listen to it while we read books and at 39 weeks pregnant I’ll take what I can get. Moreover, I love to listen to it alone when I finally relax once he’s asleep, and any CD that works for the whole family comes with a high T.O.P. recommendation!

KUALA LUMPUR: The elections of office-bearers at the FA of Malaysia’s (FAM) Congress here yesterday threw up two surprises.
While incumbent Datuk Raja Ahmad Zainuddin lost by just two votes in the hotly-contested battle for the post of vice-president, Umno Youth deputy chief Khairy Jamaluddin won one of the two deputy presidents’ posts unopposed.
The post was vacant following the resignation of Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah in the wake of Malaysia’s dismal Asian Cup performance in July.
Sultan Ahmad Shah and incumbent Datuk Redzuan Sheikh Ahmad were returned unopposed as the president and deputy president respectively.
Five names were nominated for the four vice-president posts.
Terengganu FA president Datuk Che Mat Jusoh (45 votes), Kelantan’s Afandi Hamzah (30), Johor FA deputy president Ahamad Mohamed (28) and former Sarawak FA vice-president Capt Gulzar Mohd Nor (26) emerged the winners.
