      Health Canada is advising consumers not to use Jie Jie Pills and Chuan Xiong Cha Tiao Wan due to concerns about possible side-effects.Jie Jie Pills and Chuan Xiong Cha Tiao Wan are proprietary Chinese medicines that have been found to contain aristolochic acid, a natural toxin known to cause kidney failure and cancer in humans.Jie Jie Pills are black in colour and are contained in a bottle bearing a green label with red Chinese lettering.       Come segnalato anche dal nostro amico Orsacchiotto nel suo web-log il WWF sta promuovendo una campagna tesa a proteggere dall'estinzione alcuni degli animali maggiormente minacciati, semplicemente adottando uno di questi esemplari come ad esempio l'elefante "Kiluba " o la tigre "Makalha " o il gorilla "Habinyanja " o il delfino "James " o la tartaruga "Aikanti" o il panda gigante "Zhu Xiong ". Zhu Xiong è stato trovato da un ricercatore del WWF, nei pressi di un villaggio nella regione di Sichuan in Cina. Era in condizioni molto gravi, si era ferito nel tentativo di sfuggire alla trappola di un bracconiere. Adesso Zhu Xiong sta bene ed è al sicuro: vive nel Centro WWF nella Riserva di Wanglang.
