Dibujar con XHTML y CSS requiere de mucho ingenio, paciencia y tiempo, como Rammy, que creó el siguiente dibujo: Es impresionante…más cuando lo ves en acción. Para dibujar este cuadro utilizó spans, divs y puntos ademas de utilizar el atributo transparent para darle color a algunos bordes. Llevo dos días peleando con la validación XHTML 1.0 de este blog, razón por la cual no he publicado nada. Recuerdo que hace un tiempo mantenía el blog “limpio” mediante frecuentes consultas al validador de W3C y consiguientes correcciones de código. No soy especialmente quisquilloso ni perfeccionista, de ahí que la presión del día a día y la prioridad del contenido consiguieron que olvidara aquella rutina saludable. Al fin y al cabo, el blog se veía bien, quiero decir que no daba señales de insuficiencias. Claro, es la trampa del HTML que arrastramos desde sus inicios: a cambio de su sencillez y universalidad, sus creadores nos regalaron un lenguaje de marcas de lo más permisivo, algo que ningún lenguaje de programación tolera. I’ve noticed a few blogs and sites have a Valid XHTML badge or similar on their site.  Out of curiosity I ran a validation test here on my site to see how it held up.  14 errors initially most of them easy to correct so I made a few changes and it’s now down to 1-6 depending on the page you check. My question is how important is having valid code?.  It seems the makers of web browsers have accounted for most common code mistakes and auto correct or compensate.  Checking through some of the high volume blogs like ProBlogger, StevePavlina and JohnChow etc. they have 100+ errors on a validation check so they obviously are not concerned.  Maybe if the site loads in a few of the common browsers why spend hours debugging when you can be writing content and generating links? A quick check of some recent visitors and it looks like you guys and gals aren’t bothered either! jmacor, smartwealthyrich, pinoyarki,  dinner, kucau, okdork, fortunewatch What’s your view on this?

It's obvious that for advanced/high customize options I must pay, so I've decide to run WordPress blog engine on one of a local free hosting servers and check it in action. In next few days I will share with You my observations and conclusions about that. But, while I was looking for WordPress stuff, I found a few nice articles about web designing . While I was home for Christmas, my parents surprised me by showing me a room that sat above our garage that they had recently remodeled. It looked great, but much different from when I was a kid in junior high. While I was up checking out the new look, I was reminded of many warm summer afternoons spent with a group of about 10 junior high guys playing poker in that room. Been reading the ‘Syndicating Web Sites With RSS Feeds For Dummies’ book and have read the first 30 pages and I still don’t know what this guy is on about. As soon as I read the term RSS or Feed my eyes glaze over. I’ve even got a ‘Subscribe’ control on this blog page which I think has got something to do with RSS and Feeds. I can’t remember how I got it up there or even whether it works. Knowledge lost in the mists of time no doubt. Better just wade through the book, get to understand it and then pull this embarrassing blog entry. Sheesh.
