During the conversation my eyes drifted over to these wreaths. I right away formed a relationship to this one, so it came off the wall so nobody else could lay claim to it. Okay so a wreath is a wreath is a wreath.... Hmm, not so with this one. If you loo

Dried hydrangea wreaths are so beautiful and versatile in a home, and a lot of fun to make. You can either buy already dried hydrangeas for your wreath, or dry your own. The biggest tip to drying your own is when you pick them. The best time is right before the first fall frost. If you pick them too early, they will not dry correctly.

I know what you are thinking, Jimmy Carter wouldn't be stupid enough to lay a wreath at Hitler's gravesite. Actually he would if there were a gravesite and if some Neo-Nazi group donated the same amount of money as the Saudis did for his Carter Center.

Today I want to bring you a holiday craft project to help you make your house a home. If you’re like me, you love all the wreaths you see all around you, and wonder how to make them, like that!!
I dug around and found this home video for us on how to create a festive home this holiday season. You’re probably as relieved as I when you find that you don’t need lots of talent, or much of anything special.
There are a few rules that make wreaths work, and this video explains them all, I believe.

Here are a couple of pictures of our Advent Wreath. This is the second year we have used this particular wreath and liturgy for Advent. It may be difficult to see but surrounding the wreath are symbols that coincide with the Scripture passage to be read on that day. Our wreath is The Jesse Tree Family Advent Wreath. The Jesse Tree is the family tree of Jesus. This Advent Wreath tells the story of His lineage through the symbols and readings from Scripture.BLESSING: May the wreath and its light be a sign of Christ's promise to bring us salvation.SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 9: 1-2 "The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; Upon those who dwell in the land of gloom a light has shone. You have brought them abundant joy and great rejoicing."

Freaky Friday’s back again! Thingamababy. Pretty weird-looking wreath! Good thing they didn’t make the wreath to look like some woman’s legs with the baby in the middle during its crowning period (flashback: Push!! Push!! Harder, harder, harder!!!).
Reminds me of the time Ajab was born. He was in the occiput posterior (face-up) position, unlike Ayeed, being the good boy he is, who was born in the occiput anterior position (face-down).

I posted and article on the Peace Wreath incident in Pagosa Srprings Colorado a couple of days ago and recieved the following little gem of a piece from Jim Fuge of Durango Colorado in the comments for that post. I loved it so much that I want to share it here for all to enjoy! The Peace WreathBy Jim Fuge of Durango Colorado Every Loma at Lindaville liked Peace a lot But the Grinch and his Cronies certainly DID NOT! This Grinch hated Peace! The whole Peacetime season! Now please don't ask why, no one quite knows the reason! It could be perhaps he just liked to fight, or Maybe his head was screwed on to the Right. But we think the most likely reason of all May have been that his heart was two sizes too small. No matter the reason. His heart or his head, He felt really bad, and troubled instead. The more the Grinch dwelled on the Peace Sign thing the more he ached to stop the whole thing! "I must stop this Peace Wreath from being,..

The laurel crown is perishable, but the true believers shall recieve the crown of glory which will never fade away1 Peter 5:4 "...you will receive the unfading crown of glory. "I hang on to these words for several reasons:1. I am a mother to three boys (near the teen years), I have to know even on the bad days my crown is not going to be tossed aside.2. This is where my names sake comes from, so I believe it is a reminder to me from the Lord.
