Damned Red Wings! They make it look so easy out there don't they? But that is what a team that is completely on the same page does, as Kris Draper had alluded to after the Wings' 2-1 victory Saturday.The Stars look either out of gas, outclassed, or both. They just can't sustain any pressure or even get any pucks to the net. The Stars could use a shot of adrenaline, and maybe returning home for Game 3 might do that. For now, the curse of Dallas winning in Detroit still lives.Besides all of that, what happened post game was a piss off for me, for several reasons.1. Mike Ribeiro turned around and slashed Chris Osgood after the final horn sounded. Why did he do that? No, it was not because Osgood was chirping at him. It was because Ozzie sneakingly raised his stick hand as Ribeiro skated past

I read that it is possible to increase the traffic of your blog through StumbleUpon, so I have decided to try it out, with your help of course. Here is the concept:
Stumble the pages that link to you. In this way you drive more traffic to the page containing your link and thus you hope that some of that traffic comes back to you via the link on that page. Supposedly, we are to link ourselves to Stumbled sites to generate the traffic that we want. But what if we could just Stumble on each other's sites/blogs?

Catherine Palace(Tsarskoe Selo)Pushkin, RussiaWhere is it?The mens and ladies toilets are across the hall from the building's only cloak room. Since you must check your coat to get in, you can't miss them.What's it like?This majestic summer house rivals the opulence of the Hermitage (located about 20 minutes away in nearby St. Petersburg), especially in its extravagant decor and impressive art collection. (Though the Hermitage's collection dwarfs this one considerably.)Built in the mid 1700s, it served as the summer residence for the Tsars, including Catherine the Great, who took it upon herself to remodel the building from its original design into its current glory. Highlights inside include the legendary Amber Room (which surround you in ceiling-high amber walls) and the Great Hall, whic

The Fiat Palio has not been a big hit, but it is liked by car enthusiasts. The Palio Stile has more interior space than the hot selling Swift. It has been given 60 mm more space than Swift. Those who wanted a good looking car will get more than they asked for. The company has re-designed the bumpers, headlight and taillights grille. The new and better looking Palio Stile has been given the superb Fiat technology of multi-jet engines. Fiat has demonstrated that multi-jet engines not only enhance performance but also improve fuel efficiency. Palio Stile has been designed to give 75 bhp power and 64 mm torque. With such an interesting array of features and a highly fuel efficient engine, we will have to wait and watch if car buyers will flock to Fiat dealerships again. Will the car buyers

Where YouTube rules the online video world, and Hulu providing a close competition, does Flickr Video have a chance at all?? This from the Herald-Leader: Legislators' mulishness makes veto pointlessKentucky lawmakers enacted a budget that doesn't just deserve to be vetoed. It gets down on its knees and begs to be vetoed.A budget that essentially tells Kentuckians that cheap cigarettes are more valuable than affordable tuition and that we should cheer when the cost of going to college rises by less than a double-digit percent.A budget that doesn't stop at debilitating environmental protection, mental health and the rest of state government. A budget that also grabs the professional dues of nurses, doctors, pharmacists and real-estate agents, thereby compromising their ability to police their own ranks.A budget that, adjusted for inflation, costs public schools $l70 million a year, by one estimate.A budget that pu

D'oh! The Story: Local girl makes unexpected appearance in Hillary ad (Via KING5.com) The Video: Quote: The political ad that sparked nationwide controversy turns out to have a surprising local connection. One of the actors in the Hillary Clinton ad was shocked to see herself, especially because she's a fierce supporter of Barack Obama. The so-called "red-phone ad" was played all over the country and helped turn the tide for Hillary Clinton leading up to her big win in Ohio. The commercial suggested Barack Obama was too inexperienced to handle a national crisis. But the young girl starring in the ad will actually be voting age next month and says she's no fan of Hillary Clinton I'd be willing to bet that someone in the Hillary camp is feeling about "

If wishes were horses, I would have a house full of dogs of every breed possible. Alas, that is not to be and I have satisfied myself with keeping just four dogs, one cocker spaniel, two Labrador retrievers and one beagle. And without doubt this is one of the best decisions that I have taken in my life. The warm welcome and love which your pets shower on you after you are home from a hard day at work, is worth any trouble that you may have to take for your pets. I am sure that all dog owners can vouch for this fact, based on their personal experiences. Also, once you have a dog, you realize that good pet care is much more than food and games. According to my experience, I feel that the best care that you can provide for your pet is through a reliable dog insurance and everything else will

As many of you know, I love to share helpful information I find when reading other blogs, marketing related journals and trade papers. A colleague recently shared a great article with me about Google's recent stance on paid links.For those of you who haven't kept up with all the fanfare, Google has stated their position against paid links - virtually discrediting the paid link industry and indicating that they will penalize sites that purchase inbound links to some degree in search results listings. That said, this particular article caught my eye because it asks the right question which is instigated by the paid link debate, "Is Your Website Link Worthy?"The article focuses on link worthiness because companies, who are purchasing in-bound links to their website, are often missing the big picture. These companies should focus on the reason(s) why purchasing links is the primary SEO option. Often times, sites have not focused on their own website and determined why other websites
Ok, let me be blunt. Lately I've really sucked at getting to other blogs, never mind doing memes when I've been tagged or even saying thank you when I've been given an award.Me bad.Forgive me.So right after I type this, I'm going to peruse my reader and my blogrolls, searching for you wonderful people who thought of me in any way in recent days. I thank you from the bottom of my black little heart. And when I find you, I'll mention you here.I promise.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chicky Baby just nominated me for a ROFL award for the month of November for my funny post about my Anti- Martha Stewart Thanksgiving. I was floored. Thanks for the nomination, Chicky! I appreciate it! For those of you who haven't read it, check out the post here.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(the graphic isn't working tonight)Tiff over at Three Ring Circus awarded me with the Christmas Spirit Award! How nice is that?
Google is now serious about selling links and traffic they are starting penalizing blogs by dropping their PR two days ago one of my friends her name is lady she blogs about making money online at http://www.spaceofinfuence.blogspot.com has dropped me a comment in my post about "how to make money online with payperpost" she said that Google penalized her blog PR because of writing a sponsored post and I have researched about this problem and I found the same thing in one of the blog catalog discussions explaining that Google is penalizing blogs of many payperpost members.So what is the use of the page rank if you couldn't make money with it?Absolutely nothing just some apple juice!So how can page rank help our blogs?It doesn't help in SERP's but I heard the it's cause is to make money online but I can't see any of that selling links is not allowed selling reviews is not allowed any way of selling traffic is not allowed.This is totally unfair.So what do you think?
I lift you high in praise, my God, O my King!
and I’ll bless Your name into eternity.
I’ll bless You every day,
and keep it up from now to eternity.
God is magnificent; He can never be praised enough.
There are no boundaries to His greatness.
Generation after generation stands in awe of Your work;
each one tells stories of Your mighty acts.
Your beauty and splendor have everyone talking;
I compose songs on Your wonders.
Your marvelous doings are headline news;
I could write a book full of the details of Your greatness.
The fame of Your goodness spreads across the country;
Your righteousness is on everyone’s lips.
God is all mercy and grace—
not quick to anger, is rich in love.
God is good to one and all;
everything He does is suffused with grace.
Creation and creatures applaud You, God;
Your holy people bless You.
They talk about the glories of Your rule,
they exclaim over Your splendor,
Letting the world know of Your power for good,
the lavish splendor of Your kin

Yesterday the Quad City Times reported the following:
DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) - Pigs running loose on the streets? That’s not the kind of call an animal control officer relishes. Take it from Leah Messmer, who spent about 35 minutes chasing down two pot-bellied pigs Wednesday morning across several Davenport streets. “You really have to go after them,” said Messmer, noting that this was not the first time she had to chase down a runaway pig. “They dart in and out of cars and somebody could get hit. That’s why you have to catch ‘em. Poor little buggers.”
The pigs darted between passing cars and explored various streets on the city’s west side - all while their pursuers tried in vain to corner them, even attempting a few unsuccessful dives.
The chase included two officers from animal control, two police officers and a couple MidAmerican Energy employees.
The pigs were first spotted about 7:30 a.m. by a caller who alerted authorities. Right aw

I've got to add this in for today.There's a new artist that I've recently stumbled upon. He's intense. He has several awesome songs. Authoring High Quality ContentWhy Should a Search Engine Rank Your Site Above All the Others in its Field? If you cannot answer this question clearly and precisely, the task of ranking higher will be exponentially more difficult. Search engines attempt to rank the very best sites with the most relevant content first in their results, and until your site's content is the best in its field, you will always struggle against the engines rather than bringing them to your doorstep.It is in content quality that a site's true potential shows through, and although search engines cannot measure the likelihood that users will enjoy a site, the vote via links system operates as a proxy for identifying the best content in a market. With great content, therefore, come great links and, ultimately, high rankings. Deliver the content that users need, and the search engines will reward your site.Content quality, however, like professional design, is not always dictated by strict rules and guidelines.

Yes, next step on the path of Rhys’ Passage Into Manliness™ after spreading my Welsh seed liberally travelling Europe is to pass my driving test. The news first broke on the BBC, and if my past form on Gran Tourismo is anything to go by, I will be a rubbish driver. I’m known for lapses of concentration, and not being particularly confident when using tools that can kill or seriously injure myself (a statement taken from my Year 8 Design & Technology Report). I’m a rubbish man, much better at things like girly things like cooking (though that took me a while to get used to as Guy will surely testify), and if it wasn’t for the fact that I like beers, boobs and ball games, I’d ask myself questions.
But then, something happened as I was driven back from the football (2-1 to the Bay. Come on the Seagulls!), I felt t
I was going to save this meme for later in the week, but I got so wrapped up in the writing of it that I couldn’t bear to leave it in the can.
Veronica at Toddled Dredge wrote a post about posts she has not written, and one of those topics was seized upon by her commenters as a post that should be written. Thus, the meme that wasn’t, but is: my top ten ’snoggable’ literary characters.
This was a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. I mean, a “kissable” character is not the same as a “favourite” literary character. Arthur Dent from the Hitchhiker’s Trilogy, for example, and Garp, while among my favourite and most memorable literary characters, are not exactly the ones I’d most like to lock lips with. Plus, I’ve lamented before about my absolutely horrible memory for the details of a book once I’ve closed the cover for the last time. But once I got rolling, I realized that (a) there are lots of kissab
One of the problems with modern times is the continuously rising prices of goods. Rarely will one ever come across an article, which can be purchased without carefully weighing various pros and cons. Imagine then the plight of an individual who has to cope with an expense that has suddenly cropped up its head. This sudden expense is even more irritating if it has occurred because of some damage that might have been inflicted on one of the products. The situation becomes really desperate if that product happens to be expensive, for most of the times such products are purchased on loans and damage to them means that one has to cough up more money; once in repairing the damage and then in repaying the installments. The situation becomes really tense if the concerned product happens to be a car, for one can be rest assured that in such cases, expenses would be really high. It is here that insurance company steps in and ensures that the concerned party is relieved from the trauma of arrangi

If you want to rank well in the search engines, then you absolutely must understand how to do market research and build your keyword lists. Why? Because keyword research determines your market’s profitability and competition.
If you skip this stage, you could wind up doing a lot of work following dead ends. There are some markets that just are not worth pursuing. You don’t want to end up chasing a market that isn’t profitable.
You need to decide what the market is looking for and bring yourself to the market. Many small business owners do just the opposite. They come up with a product or service they think the market needs and then try to go after and convince the market of their product value. There are plenty of markets available that will suit your tastes. Once you find the market that you want to reach, then you will build your keyword or key phrase lists.

It???s a scene that has become all too common. Imagine sitting in the break room at work, eating your lunch, and people start talking about a politically sensitive subject like abortion. While listening to everyone share their views about the woman???s right to choose, you realize that you are simply outnumbered and keep quiet. Or maybe it is a conversation about gay marriage, and you keep your mouth shut so that you don???t come across as being intolerant. Maybe it is a little more subtle than that. Maybe you are sitting at home watching TV with your kids while children on the programs constantly disrespect their parents and get away with it. And then there is the ???swear word??? or two that pops up that was unheard of on prime time TV 10 or 20 years ago.

Another trip to the mailroom leads us to a very interesting question from fellow blogger Anthony at insidesportsgeek.com .Anthony writes: What impact will Devin Hester bring as a WR for the Chicago Bears?Remember, if you will, that Hester burst onto the scene last year as a kick and punt returner, when he took back 5 total kicks for touchdowns. Now, the Bears coaching staff is working out Hester as a receiver. Word out of Bears camp in Wisconsin is that he's picking up the position quickly and that they are installing a small group of plays designed to get him the ball, including end arounds, reverses, and other tricky maneuvers.However, at this point, Hester is not someone to spend a draft pick on. He might be worth the consideration if you are in one of those rare leagues that awards points to individual players for return yards and TDs. But he simply won't be featured in the offense with enough frequency to make him worthy of a pick. Fantasy-wise, he'll make about as much impact

Wishing on a Star – Rolls-Royce (Simon’s song choice)
I thought the performance was a pretty good one and I really liked the dress she was wearing. For me, her singing became stronger towards the end of the song, and was strong enough for her to stay in the competition. The judges all thought it was really good, but Simon wasn’t a fan of the arrangement.

Roxanne – The Police (Paula’s song choice)
I thought this was a good song choice by Paula. Blake has the type of voice that suits this song perfectly. I thought he did a good job, and that his voice really did suit the song, but there wasn’t anything that really amazed me. R

Personalized Travel Candle$2.50 - 2.75Available at: TheGiftBoutique.comWith the traditional wedding month of June just around the corner, brides-to-be everywhere are thoughtfully planning their "big day." Being single myself, and not particularly wedding-crazy, I tend to be a little harsh when it comes to summing up the weddings I've attended. And there's been a lot of them, ranging from fun and party-like, to traditional and sublime, to downright cheesy. Yes, I said cheesy. To each their own, but if I have to look at one more gauze-wrapped-butter-mints wedding favor I may be too traumatized to ever get married.So, when I was asked to give a review of TheGiftBoutique.com, a site specializing in wedding favors and bridesmaids and groomsmen gifts, I wasn't sure I could do it. Would my prejudices get in the way? I called in reinforcements in the form of one of the only married gals on the Stiletto Jungle Girl Talk panel-- Jennifer-- and then set out to give the site a once over."Love G

We have a simple mission: to impact as many lives as possible with the gift of shoes. We are partnering with charities and governments around the world to provide a basic (yet indispensable) gift that most of us take for granted.
You can help us in many ways: donating your own shoes, donating cash for freight, hosting a shoe drive, or even donating your time as a volunteer. As shoe industry professionals, we are working hard to use the resources at our disposal to make a difference — but we need your help (and your shoes) to reach out to the world.
The bidding begins on May 14th on Ebay.

I came across a website this morning called The Wine Century Club. I first thought it was a club for wine lovers over 100, I mean there should be a lot of them what with wine being touted as such a cure-all for what ails you, but in fact, it’s a club that promotes the consumption of “the uncommon varietal” and gives a wine lover a list of 100 varietals to drink their way through. Tell me, can you name 100 wine grape varietals? We all know about the six noble grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Riesling; and most people can recognize some of the lesser varietals such as Barbera, Nero d’Avola, Chenin Blanc, Pinot Gris and dozen or more others. Fact is, there are something like 4000 grape varietals in the world. Thank goodness there isn’t a club for that.
I decided to see how many of the 100 grapes I have actually tasted, and going through my notes from my wine class I was able to check off 60 names. SIXTY. That was
The majority of relationships that fail do so for one main reason, the underlying feeling of unworthiness experienced by one or both partners. Oh relationships have many different ways of ending but when you boil them all down their endings come down to this one element the element of unworthiness. Either we feel unworthy and so we choose people who will not treat us well or we don’t treat our partner well because we are sabotaging what we do have due to our own feelings of unworthiness. Our partners can’t fix our own feelings of unworthiness only we can. I ask you to examine your own life. Are you feeling truly worthy of love? Have you chosen wrong again and again? Are you constantly setting up your relationship to fail? Do you look for trouble? Do you make ridiculous accusations or are you needlessly cranky or nagging toward your partner? Do you snoop through your partners things trying to find something, anything to point toward a wrong doing? Do you find yourself overreacting t

In the mail several days ago I received a free copy of a new magazine called “Motto Magazine.” It has similarities to FastCompany in that it attempts to prove that business people can be passionate, happy, socially-responsible and still make a killing! The key difference seems to be that they are more niche than FastCompany and focus more on the corporate social responsibility theme. The advertising is all relevant and includes both NetImpact and Calvert.
The mag is founded by Kevin Salwen (interviewed here) and Anita Sharpe both former Wall Street Journal writers. It seems the founders are friends of Rex at RexBlog. Preston from Texas liked it, and he likes Good Magazine, another personal favorite of mine. Curt Rosengren from Passion Catalyst writes for them. CSR Wire recently picked up a press release on the most recent edition.
Motto has a great introductory video on the website, but oddly it’s not embeddable and it’s not on YouTube (what are you guys thinking!).

Wine: A Worthy Teammate for Football by: ARA(ARA) - Football and beer go together like baseball and hotdogs, but what about football and wine? Traditionally, wine has been benched on Sundays. But if you prefer to serve your guests something a step up from a can of suds, a nice glass of Cabernet Sauvignon on a chilly, fall afternoon can score a touchdown with your friends. Kim Caffrey, football fanatic and senior wine educator at Beringer Vineyards, shares her winning strategy for scoring big with wine on football Sunday: Evaluate your Players First, look at the wines available to you and what each one has to offer. Some traditional favorites are Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Chardonnay is a versatile white wine that combines both citrus and ripe pear flavors with a soft, rounded body and hints of spice that make it a good match-up for a variety of foods. Merlot, a popular pick, has a good fruit pop with silky raspberry and black cherry flavors that make it a great all
Pick For TodayYou can always check My Sportsbook Guide - selection of recommended bookies.1. Tottenham - Chelseamarket: full time, Chelsea to winBet365 in Fractional - 11/10, in Decimal - 2.10Tottenham seem to be in a tremendous form in the last month, both in Europe and home. They score and score and it is hard to believe that someone can stop them of winning a trophy this season. But I insist on searching for a wrong step for Spurs that will make them more careful in the future games. And this FA Cup replay, which will give a generous prize of a semifinal spot, is the perfect occasion.Bad news for Chelsea - attacking trio Berbatov, Keane and Lennon are expected to return in the squad for this clash. They missed the last game and will be fresh on Monday night. Essien is the only injury concern for Chelsea.Why do I think Chelsea should be a favourite to win this one (bookies don't, they gave tasty 11/10 for the visitors)? They are a kind of a football machine and some of the key playe
Let's be honest, ladies. It would be great if we were all Hollywood starlets or pampered heiresses with huge beauty budgets, but we're living in the real world here. I'd love to luxuriate in a tub of $1600 moisturizer or indulge in a few $50 a pop eyeshadows... if it wasn't for those pesky student loan payments! The best of jobs can't fund our luxury beauty fixations when we've got little things like rent, mortgages, bills, and families to tend to. When high-end beauty cravings compete with the rent for our hard-earned cash, what wins out?Nars EyeShadow$21.00Available at: Amazon.comI've been dying to ask some real-world women which luxury beauty products are really worth their after-tax pennies. I called on the Stiletto Jungle Girl Talk Panel, real-world women with real-world jobs, to confess their splurge-worthy luxury beauty products. So, ladies, what do you splurge on?"I really love Dermalogica's Pre-Cleanse," says Po, a 28-year-old attorney in Ceres, California. "It costs a
I'm still looking for a bag to take with me to Paris. And I'm also looking for shoes!! I was telling my guy that I need 7 new complete outfits, including bags and shoes to take with me to Paris. No foolin'! I really need some cute stuff to wear.For shoes, I think I would do much better with flats. We'll be walking a LOT, I would die in heels. Even wedges would probably be too hard on my feet. So a pair of cute comfortable flats is a must. I saw these and immediately got a parisian feeling from them. I'm very tempted to get them. My only problem is they'll probably lose the crispness, which was what drew me to them in the first place, after a day of walking.Open Front Ribbon Flat Shoes $38.This one is really cute and girly. It should stand up to much walking and beating. Bejeweled Front Flat Shoes $52I also like these silver Tory Burch knock-off flats too. Decisions decisions. Libby Flat $36
In today’s roundup of notable iPhone-related articles we’ve got:
- Even though both Electronic Arts and Namco signed up to make games for the iPhone, Gamers Reunion remains skeptical about it as a gaming platform. “Firstly, Apple has never had any sort of major impact in the gaming market, where as Microsoft has countless games being developed for Windows, and Nintendo as they have been around for generations,” they write in iPhone - A Doubtful Gaming Platform.
- At the same time Jake Lyon writes “I think a little game designing is in need for the iPhone. I mean seriously, who wouldn’t want to take advantage of the touch screen’s functionality? A couple cool, innovative, Nintendo DS-like games would be pretty slick to have on the iPhone, especially if given the option to download them quickly over the 3G network’s iTunes store,” in Features that would truly make Apple’s latest and greatest worth $500+.

But the fun doesn't stop there. To celebrate the nationwide launch, E-Games is announcing the exciting Audition: Dance Battle Contest. Running from late November to January 2007, this contest will enjoin participants to strut their stuff in a limited time by joining a simulation of the game in real life through a dance competition with a 2-stage, stepladder format (elimination round and finals). This will be complemented by a school promotional blitz during the aforementioned period that will lead up and culminate into the mall events. The dance contest will be open to individuals as well as school dance groups who will be invited during the school promotional tour in the coming weeks.

Rudy Giuliani is now running for president. However, due to his record on illegal immigration, I think that's why I would not recommend him for candidacy.On National Review (via Michelle Malkin), they have a good argument:Many conservatives understandably don't want to shut the door on Rudy Giuliani. He is very effective at fighting for, and implementing, those conservative causes with which he agrees. Indeed, he represents one of the best examples of executive ability over the last 15 years.But for four decades, pro-lifers have resisted intense pressure from journalistic, political, and legal elites to declare the abortion question closed. Those elites would surely treat the Republican party's nomination of a pro-choicer as their final victory. Having blocked that bipartisan ratification of abortion-on-demand for so long, pro-lifers will be especially disinclined to accept it now, after several years in which they have gained ground. (Even Democrats realize that their pro-choice
Another day another keeper linked with a move to Arsenal, this time though the suggested custodian is no donkey, has miles of experience and on top of all that he’s French!
Arsenal are eyeing Olympique Lyon goalkeeper Gregory Coupet.
Coupet’s agent, Frederic Dobraje, said: “He wants to leave at the end of the season. This year, [...]
