The Staunton City Council has scheduled a work session on the proposed 2008 City Budget for 6 p.m. Thursday, April 19. The work session will be held in Council Chambers, first floor of City Hall, 116 West Beverley Street. Work Sessions are open to the public, but do not normally include time for public comment or input. The purpose of the meeting is for members of council to work with city staff on various components of the proposed budget. The public hearing on the proposed Staunton budget is set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26. Adoption of a new 2008 budget is expected in early May. Please let me know if you have any questions.
