As much as it sounds like an Enid Blyton tale from 'the faraway tree', it's not. It's my somewhat hazy account of this morning's trip to specialist number 2.I knew it just wasn't going to go according to plan when I saw the crocs.Every single nurse, lab assistant, and doctor that passed us sitting in the whispering room was wearing them. Crocs. So there we sat, in the whispering room where no one m

Today I had the opportunity to get a rare glimpse into just how powerful and revered certain members of the Senate can be, amongst “politicos” from both sides.
As I’m sure you all have heard Senator Ted Kennedy has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Taking his age, previous health problems and overall severity of brain [...]

A recently divorced woman is walking along the beach contemplating how badly treated she got over the divorce settlement, when she spies a magic lamp washing up onshore. She rubs the lamp, and out pops a magical genie! The genie notices her anger and lets her vent her troubles to him. As a consolation, the genie informs her that he will give her three wishes. But, he cautions her that because he does not believe in divorce, he will give her ex-husband ten times the amount of whatever she wishes. The woman is steaming mad, thinking that this is hardly fair, but she makes her first wish. The first wish was for a billion dollars. The genie grants her wish and she finds herself sitting in pile of one billion one-dollar bills. The genie then reminds her that her husband is now the recip
WISHING FOR A GOOD MEN'S BODY LOTION? Women are constantly slathering the stuff all over their body... From an orange mango surprise to berry, cherry and cream-puff pie, the sweet smelling, fruity flavors of citrus, cinnamon and vanilla fill the lotion aisles. While women's stores have innumerable scent varieties to choose from in a vast amount of consistencies, men are left to scamper among the drugstore cheap-o varieties to find something that doesn't make them smell or feel like a sparkley 12-year-old donning a cinnamon bun.MenScience originated to cater to men's skincare, nutritional and grooming needs, helping with a variety of common skincare needs-like the formulation of the bestselling MenScience Advanced Face Lotion. Shreya Saran is very busy these days. She is actually rehearsing for her roles. She has to belly dance for one of her films. So the lady is busy practising belly dancing nowadays! Well, she’s trying to master the dance form, we hear.Shreya is also busy with her shoot for ad commercials. Rumour has it that she has declined to play the role of a mother in one of the most awaited releases this year. “Playing mom can wait for another 10 years,” muses Shreya. And why not? Her best compliment came from none other than Rajinikanth himself. While shooting for the song Vaji Vaji Sivaji… Rajinikanth is said to have looked at the completely deckedup Shreya and compared her to Sridevi, who looked good in any costume and carried herself very well in any role.He is also said to have blessed Shre

Tomorrow is the last chance to take up position! My eyes will be the closing candle on STI's weekly chart. Remember on Sunday night i posted, this week's closing is more important than the intra-week swing? Well indeed the market looks supported. Most of the stocks look damn oversold and we should head higher. But it also doesn't stop the market from falling further before the rebound takes place. Given that today we were not able to close higher than opening means that the market are fearful of last week's repeat where market tanked after the big rally. This is actually good because it means there is little confidence left. Market will not anyhow rally like a mad bull. We all should know by now, a mad rally doesn't last. Rather, we might have very good and defined technical levels to trad

Yesterday, I have read some post about St. Patrick' Day, yet I didn't bother to be aware about it. Now I realized that maybe there is something about St. Patrick Day that is really cool, so I research. And I found some amazing things about St. Patrick's Day. Read it also!

Above the lake, the flies dance and tease the fish. The sun lazes its way across the sky and she waits, kickin' dust beneath the swing. She knows he's close; The heart of her feels him there at the edge of the woods. Softly she sings a song light and languid; no words, just the sound of her voice, beckoning. He peeks out, wishing he had the courage to walk up and say the words in his heart… "Would you like a push?" He wants nothing more than to make her happy, but fears he might fail. After a while, she tips back in the swing and hair swinging in the dust, she spots him in his hiding. "Why ain't 'cha comin' out? she calls, "Ain't we friends no more? I've got raisins in a box… I'll share 'em!" She sits up in the swing and
Tuesday won't come soon enough to know if this pregnancy is on the right track. That being said, I feel very pregnant in every way. Since the day before my BFP, I've had pretty ridiculous headaches. They do level off in their intensity, but they are constant. I can't remember if I had such bad headaches with David, but I certainly did not in the last failed pregnancies.I am so happy that my progesterone is at a good level, because I always have fought low progesterone. Let's hope that remains a non-issue.It's an odd place to be when you are waiting for that second beta. Wanting to be excited, but trying not to be too excited. I know all too well at doubling betas (for me anyway) don't equal a baby. Thanks to you ALL for your well-wishes. It's nice to share a good day with my blogging friend
As well-known for their bizarrely teased haircuts as their hit single "I Ran (So Far Away)," A Flock of Seagulls were one of the infamous one-hit wonders of the new wave era. Growing out of the synth-heavy and ruthlessly stylish new romantic movement, A Flock of Seagulls were a little too robotic and arrived a little too late to be true new romantics, but their sleek dance-pop was forever...

Apologies for the lack of posting but as you have probably worked out by now it’s Christmas.
That means the blog has taken a back seat to the more important things in life like eating and drinking and spending time with the family. I’ve been doing plenty and there will be plenty more to come over the next few days. Good stuff.
I probably won’t get the chance to write another decent post until the madness subsides but in the meantime I thought I’d take the opportunity today to wish everyone who reads the blog a very merry Christmas. Since starting the blog in late March I never really expected it to be as successful and enjoyable as it has been and that’s very much down to the input and participation of you, the readers.
It’s been fantastic getting to know everyone via comments and emailing and I hope that one day I’ll be rich enough to shout you all a beer (or a champagne if you’re into that sort of thing!). Have a very safe and happy Ch

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Karina Smirnoff of Dancing with the Stars had plastic surgery on her twice-broken nose, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.
The 29-year-old dancing pro who partnered with boxer Floyd Mayweather this season had the procedure done Nov. 2 for medical as well as aesthetic reasons.
A doctor performed the routine procedure to repair the nasal passageway and reshape Smirnoff’s nose, which she’s broken twice in accidents in the past six years.
Smirnoff is expected to make a swift recovery in time to appear on the November 27 DWTS finale when all of the season five couples will reunite on the ballroom floor.
“She can breathe easier,” the surgeon, Dr. Nicholas Nicolov, told Extra. “She may find being a little less tired, a little less winded.”

It’s not all doom and gloom around these parts while I sit on my ass and wait for my future to be determined by a group of soul sucking zombies er, government bureaucrats. In an active attempt to avoid the looming emotional crisis that October represents for our family, the hubs and I went out and did something we’ve never done before.
We hired a hooker.
Kidding. In his dreams. Actually, his dreams would consist more of the sexy (and now slightly knocked up) Halle Berry, me and a can of whip cream. Or more likely, Halle Berry, the whip cream and me locked in the basement, pounding on the door, screaming to get out.
No, no hooker. However, we went to see our friendly, neighbourhood travel agent. All right, so we just randomly picked one out of the phone book, but turned out, she WAS friendly. Just not in our neighbourhood. (To be fair, our neighbourhood consists primarily of a bunch of trees, a few bears, some moose and the odd hillbilly.)

By mixing Lisa Loeb/Alanis Morissette-like singing with music that sounds similar to a more mainstream Portishead at times, Natalie Imbruglia became one of the biggest pop sensations in Europe. Born in Sydney, Australia, on February 4, 1975, Imbruglia was one of four sisters and grew up in a tiny beach town. After becoming a teen actress and landing a spot on the Australian soap opera Neighbours, Imbruglia decided that she would rather be a singer, and moved to London in 1996 to try her luck. It was a wise move, as she was soon signed to the RCA U.K. label. Deciding to release a single before her full-length debut, the track "Torn" was issued in 1997, and no one could have predicted its wild success. Produced by former Cure member Phil Thornalley and written by Ednaswap, the single spent a total of 14 weeks at number one, sold over a million copies, and broke the record for most airplay in U.K. history. Her debut album, Left of the Middle, was a major hit in Australia, the U.K., and th
Everyone’s eagerly awaiting the debut of Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Tej. The film titled Chirutha, has been directed by Puri Jagannath and produced by Ashwinidutt. The movie which releases on Sept 28, has raised huge expectations among the mega star’s fans. Several vinyls have already been pasted in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, with the wishes of relatives Allu Venkatesh, Allu Arjun and Allu Sirish wishing Ram Charan Tej all the best. Chiranjeevi fans associations have been performing poojas for the success of the film for the past nine days.
You trip into my presence with your three little letters. Apologies. Awkwardness. Laughter. One sentence spills over into another until a steady stream of thoughts begins to flow. It bends around silence. Leaps playfully over the past. Roars into a frothy, joyous finish.
We spill into the quiet pool below as waves of …regret …uncertainty …loss lap around us. We swim quietly to the edge of what was and leave its cold warmth behind. I start to walk away…but I turn instead. I see us reflected within its cloudy blue surface. For a second, the need to return to its embrace is almost greater than the power of reason.
But I hesitate for a second. A large rock plops into the midst of us, shattering the fantasy into a million droplets of pain. I look up and he stands there. He silently lofts another rock into his hand and grins.
“I waited.”

A list of 10 well-wishing text messages have been selected as the best of all for the forth coming Spring Festival, and the top runner is an item featuring pig, and five-member mascots of the Beijing Olympic Games. The 10-day selection campaign, launched and organized by a host of mass media organizations based in Beijing, is the first of the kind. It drew participation of 680,000 people from provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the Chinese mainland.
The top ten best text messages were chosen by a specially appointed 20-member panel from about 100,000 items of text messages and the result was announced on Thursday night.
Top of the 10 best well-wishing text message list, which is said to be sent by 25-year-old Kang Kai, a salesman, blends good wishes of good luck, longevity, bumper harvest, more friends, fulfillment of dreams, good health in the year of pig with five Fuwas, the mascots of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Recently I was reading one of my favorite blogs, Fond of Snape, and she posted a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson which sums up how I wish I could feel each day.
Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.
He is rich who owns the day,
and no one owns the day who allows it to be invaded with fret and anxiety.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities, no doubt crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can, tomorrow is a new day;
begin it well and serenely, with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense.
This new day is too dear, with its hopes and invitations, to waste a moment on the yesterdays.
Instead I am in a rather dark place of late and will hopefully pull myself out relatively soon.

Phaidon Color Library Series: This is a really cool set of art books for any library. While the $398 for the whole set is a bit spendy for the starving artist you do have the option of buying them one at a time at Amazon or any of the big booksellers. I might just have to pop on down to my local book store to check them out. The whole set is available at Auto which also has all kinds of wonderful bedding, bath, jewelry, etc.

We spent the last part of our Spring Break as the guests of good friends of ours who own a ranch a few hours outside of L.A. As if all of that wasn't perfect enough, our hosts drove their own espresso machine all
You would think that by the 3rd kid, I'd have this parenting thing down pat. It would be old hat. But it's not. I know, people will say that every kid is different, and boy is that true. But the real problem lies not with the kids, but with me. I've never been able to establish routines for myself. Ever. It's apparently part of the problem with people with ADD, and I do believe that I have it, even if some people think it's a cop-out (by some, I mean hubby). This "test" is borrowed from this site.Adult ADD Symptom Test:If you experience more than 10 points on this adult ADD self symptom test, Attention Deficit Disorder is likely present. * An internal sense of anxiety - not always * Impulsive spending habits - unfortunately, totally * Frequent distractions during sex - you mean like suddenly realizing you haven't paid a bill, or that the car is due for an oil change... yeah, you could say that lol * Frequently misplace the car keys, your purse or wallet or other d
MENTAL STATUS: "Exhausted". Had TWO birthday parties for the little one. A lot of fun, but a lot of work. I need a mental health break today.Since it's the first (or second as the case may be) of the month, that means it's time for a taste of a new book from Fiction In Rather Short Takes. This month's author, Mary E. DeMuth, is also one of the First Day Blog Alliance Members. Please take the time and enjoy her first chapter of Wishing on Dandelions. Introduction:I still can’t tell my story up close, like it was me in it,breathing the tangled wisteria on the fence posts of Burl, Texas. There are times I still can’t bear to say it was me. The book of my life continues to open, painful word by painful word, page after page. I get real close to typing the whole story with the word I in it, but I hit delete every time, replacing me with she.Zady tells me I’m ready to write my story honest, but I’m not so sure. She says she’s there to help me remember my healing, even as she puts
I just got really excited. The brilliant peeps at Fred Flare have decided to make all of their sunglasses $9. I KNOW... This is a big deal and needs to go on PRC, oh wait... I'm thinking they got my subliminal wishful thinking vibe, since it's kind of overcast in CT today and I'm pretty sure the weather isn't that diffeent in NY. The weather isn't going to hold me back though because but they've got really cutelicious sunglasses. They have losts of different types of sunglasses from whimsical heart shaped sunglasses to the classic but cool aviator. My faves are the Swan Lake sunglasses, I think I might just buy them.
I will keep saying this over and over again: How do mothers with multiples do it???? Shana and I were in the mall last week when we saw a mother pushing a triple stroller with three little boys (about 15 months)in one hand and holding on to twin girls with the other!!!!! I later found out that we have the same pediatrician and that she has two older kids under the age of ten! So that's SEVEN KIDS altogether! She looked so calm and collected, and there I was with just one of my kids (I can't even bring myself to take both children out on my own). I worry all the time. I worried last year when Cameron was sick while still pregnant with Ava. And it seems like this time around the worry doubled. I am counting the days hoping that Ava does not get what Cameron had (which, by the way, was Roseola). These past few days I have been wishing that I could be split in half so I can give both children my attention at the same time. The craziness always seems to happen during diaper changing. Both
A tourist walks past a poster wishing the Indian cricket team in Mumbai on Friday, March 2, 2007. India-champions in 1983, runners-up in 2003 and semi-finalists in 1987 and 1996 are placed in Group B with former champions Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and debutants Bermuda, with the top two sides advancing to the Super Eight stage. They open their campaign against Bangladesh on March 17.
It still hurts at times. Sometimes I find myself hoping to find that things aren't the way they are right now, that it was all just something I imagined. I wish things were back to the way they were before. But things change, people change, and I have to face the fact that they always will, so I have to get over it. That's life. But I still wish things could be different, ya know?
Thus hence...
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. Amen.

I enjoyed Wishing on Dandelions, this second novel by author Mary DeMuth. The writing was poetic, but also fast-paced narrative, with the words flowing into the next seemlessly. An example of this writing is, "He left out the back door, as she offered the glass of tea to an empty space."
Reading this book, I was still rooting for Maranatha. Since her character has aged eight years since I
another dark morning of rain today. my neighbourhood was literally in the clouds this morning with visibility down to a few blocks. it still amazes me to look up at the mountains that surround me here and it's even more amazing when they're covered in mist. i've tried to take pictures of it, but they just never come out right... maybe one day i'll get that perfect shot and share it with you.other than that, it was a pretty run-of-the-mill day. school, nap, school, lunch, school, and home. i didn't sleep well/much last night so was pretty knackered for much of the day. am going out in gimhae this evening - hopefully it'll tire me out and i'll get a good nights' tonight.the sun did finally make an appearance around 4:30, which was nice... i hope that bodes well for the weekend... though i really don't have anything to complain about weather-wise, it's been up in the teens all week... which is better, much better, than what i'd be experiencing back home. hope you aren't all fr
