      Wireless USB disponible

Wireless USB hubs start to arrive
We have been getting teased with the concept of wireless USB technology for a while now. In that regard it seems like everything is finally going wireless. I digress… Belkin has announced their upcoming 4-port wireless USB hub, the first of many products that will help you connect your USB devices without the cables. The wireless signal works within 30 feet, allowing you to roam around while transferring data, printing documents, or calling data. But remember that you cannot charge your devices via wireless USB, only send/receive data at the USB standard of 480Mbps. This works with printers, camera, scanners, hard drives, and more. Late August 2007 with launches in Asia, Europe, and Australia to follow, though you will pay a nice price to cut cables: $199.99. Wireless USB Computer Mouse with PnP Mat
Producing a computer mouse that does not need batteries probably seemed like a good idea at the time, but we’re not convinced. Whilst it might be an inconvenience replacing your mouse batteries every three or so months, it’s hardly a particularly time consuming or arduous task and given the choice between this and falling back to a battery-free cabled mouse it seems but a small price to pay for the convenience of forgoing a wire trailing across your desk. Now, however, you can have the best of both worlds as this computer mouse, in being powered by an electronic field generated by the included mouse mat not only does away with the need for batteries but it is also cable free. A great idea in theory, except now the mouse mat has a cable trailing to the USB port of your computer in order to supply the power to the mat for it to transfer to the mouse. Perhaps I’m missing something here, but isn’t the removal of the need for batteries through the introduction of a cable cluttering

Vista confuses wireless USB mouse adapter with flash memory, eeeuuuggghh
I lost control of my Vista, wireless mouse USB adapter the other day. It just didn’t move the pointer. Rebooted, still no mouse use. Later on I rebooted again with just the USB wireless adapter plugged in and this time Vista popped up a ReadyBoost message asking me whether I wanted to use the USB flash drive as extra memory. Go figure. Had a look at the Parental Control activity reports and for one of  the users, a site - www.bebo.com - appeared in both the ‘Top 10 Web Sites Visited’ summary group, which sounds like sites that were visited having passed the Parental Control check, and also appeared in the ‘Most Recent 10 Websites Blocked’ summary group. Hmmm… that doesn’t make sense. Also for the same user the site, which was some kind of file download - file023.bebo.com - appeared in both summary groups. Go figure 2. Today we went to a great fish restaurant in Malibu called Gladstones, recommended. Quote of the day ‘We must believ
