A two stage winter storm moved through Southern California this week dumping considerable rain and snow in the mountains and across the county. It has been my experience that any time harsh weather, whether hot or cold hits the county it takes it's toll on any undocumented aliens making their way north from Mexico through San Diego's rugged back country.

Looks like everyone is stocking up for the storm. I was over at Weed & Duryea picking up some salt to put on the driveway and the store was swamped. People were buying snow shovels by the dozen. The town's supermarkets were also packed. Everyone seemed to be buying a month's worth of food.
The snow was falling at a pace greater than an inch and hour today, making life a frozen hell in the greater Boston area tonight. We have been monitoring a winter storm moving out of the Midwest and into the Great Lakes Saturday Night into Sunday Morning. Eventually into the Northeast. This storm system plastered a wide area of the Midwest with snow and ice, making highways slick and hazardous.
The National Weather Service posted winter storm and ice warnings across parts of Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, the eastern Dakotas, Illinois and northern Michigan. Here in NW Pennsylvania and NE Ohio Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the possibility of snow, sleet and freezing rain late Saturday night into early Sunday morning. Before changing to all rain later in the day Sunday as temperatures are forecasted to be in or near the 40s.
The good news about this storm is that the nastiest of the weather takes place during the overnight hours. This should limit the accidents out on the highways. The ice and sleet could lingering into the afternoon out into the Chautauqua/ Allegheny region.

Rispondere a questa domanda è molto difficile perché questo disco è scomodo… stiamo parlando di un lavoro atteso. Pesa molto l’affetto che tutti i fan dei Nightwish hanno per Tarja.
E’ un disco registrato e finalizzato ottimamente. Forse il suono migliore che abbia ascoltato quest’anno attraverso le mie Sennhaiser. Assemblato tra Irlanda, Spagna, Svizzera, Germania, Finlandia ed America.

A post-remembrance day windstorm has served as a reminder that the British Columbia winter storm season is underway, and residents should be prepared for future severe storms, the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) warns.
Roughly 90,000 B.C. Hydro customers were without power on Nov. 12, after the first windstorm of the season first made waves on the night of Nov. 11. The storm strengthened Nov. 12 and knocked down trees and hydro lines in its wake, CBC.ca reports.
At the height of the storm, roughly 196,000 customers were without power, a BC Hydro spokesperson told the CBC.ca. Many major ferry routes were cancelled during the storm.

So mom heard that there was going to be a winter storm today here in Los Angeles. Ok… we could certainly use some rain (we haven’t had any since April and even then, it wasn’t much), and maybe we’d even get some thunder, lightning, or gosh maybe even SNOW. She got REALLY excited because she misses “real” weather. Yes it’s September in the desert, but it was in the newspaper and on the news…
