The New Autumn Winter 08 collection of Luke 1977 jackets are pretty special this season.
Taking their inspiration from the modern lad, a gentlemen, and a working class hero, the jackets are equally at home in the city bar scene, on the terraces, or in the pub.
Another feature of the Luke 1977 jacket is he is able [...]
A quick note to let you know that Republic’s new autumn/ winter collection is now in. The influence seems to romantic gothic this season, with lots of dark colours, ruffles, layers and lace. One could say there’s ’something of the night’ about it.

Hm, YSL didn't have many bags to show this Fall/Winter 2007. In fact, just one! With Exotic Skins as the focus for so many designers we have seen thus far for their Fall/Winter 2007 Collections. Most Designers are favouring Ostrich Skin this season, but for Hermes and Yves Saint-Laurent, the Crocodile Bag is favoured. The first pic is the front view of the bag and the subsequent pics are of the same bag (but in it's half-open naked glory)(Images via Style)
As we can see from Pucci's Fall/Winter 2007 Collection at Fashion Week, the invisible thread that sews the whole collection together is geometric prints (specifically, rectangles) and lots of wood, earth tones and clutches (Clutches seem to be a favourite with the designers these past few seasons). Hmm, it is quite ironic really, for Pucci has always been known for its signature abstract swirls of colour...Why is it when all the designers are experimenting with brighter colours this Fall/Winter 2007, Pucci seems to be veering towards an earthy-toned collection? And geometric rectangular shapes in favour of its abstract prints? Hmmm...I wonder.
Again, that Old World Charm vibe is everpresent in this collection like so many other designers' F/W Collections this year and Gucci is no exception.Gucci's Fall/Winter Collection 2007 at Fashion Week showcased a collection of bags similar in shape to Gucci's classic range of Boston Bags. In fact, it's safe to say that the main focus of Gucci's entire Fall/Winter Collection 2007 was on this Bag. Ditching the brand's signature Logo 'GG' monogram in favour of a diamond-shaped design running throughout the bag on the canvas ones, this bag is also available in Alligator. In Bagaholic Babe's opinion, with the chunky leather trims and Golden logo Medallion, This season's oversized Boston bag seems more apt for the more mature jet-setter. Hmm, this last standalone Hobo seems more ME compared to the rest of the Collection.
Presenting Chloe Fall/Winter Collection from Fashion Week. Since Chloe's 'Silverado', a series of 'It' Bags have been unleashed season after season, so much so that we seem to expect an 'It' Bag to be featured every season. The Silverado, The Paddington, the Edith, and the Bay Bag from this year's Spring/Summer Collection. However, this Fall/Winter Collection has been rather disappointing, as it looks like it's catering to a much more mature audience (read 'aunty-ish'). Hence, I do not forsee a possible 'It' Bag, or something even remotely close to achieving 'It' Bag status. As I mentioned earlier, like Exotic skins, that Old World Vintage look from the Second World War Era seems to be back - We saw it with Marc Jacobs's Fall/Winter Collection 2007 and Dior's Fall/Winter Collection 2007 amongst others. However, I must say that those have modern twists to it. The bags from Chloe's F/W Collection 2007, however, seem as if they've been taken straight out from the WW2 Er
PARIS, February 27, 2007 – The provocations with which Vivienne Westwood once surprised fashion have now become the norm. You can see, for instance, her draped and twisting silhouettes with their unusual volumes in the Japanese collections. The assimilations have sapped some of the shock value from her shows, but they haven’t dampened her enthusiasm. In addition to those swirling and bunching shapes—this season shown snapped together (and racily unsnapped) like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle—she reprised such favorites as the corset and the exaggerated, squared-off shoulder. A Fall trend, the bolder shoulder was achieved here with padded harnesses that, when they came in gold brocade, made believable substitutes for evening boleros. Also on-message were the big knit furs and blown-out plaids. It’s more difficult to explain how the cave-drawing prints and intarsias fit in, other than to say that she loves a doodle and that she had seen fit to name the show "Wake Up, Cave Girl."
