Microsoft ha colgado una vesión de DreamScene en su página de soporte para descargar. De momento sólo está disponbile para los usuarios de Windows Vista Ultimate. Es otro extra más en exclusiva para Vista Ultimate con el que intentan captar clientes para la licencia más cara.
Recordemos que DreamScene era una de esas características que iba a incluir Windows Vista pero que no lo hizo por falta de desarrollo. Es una utilidad con la que puedes colocar un vídeo como fondo de escritorio. Aunque no es muy útil, sí que puede quedar bien.
Con DreamScene instalado, sólo tienes que ir al menú para elegir fondo y abrir el explorador de archivos para seleccionar el archivo de vídeo como si de una foto de tratase. DreamScene es compatible con vídeos mpeg y wmv.
Los requisitos de este programa son los mismos que los del sistema operativo además de una gráfica que soporte Windows Aero.&nbs

I just read an interesting post off Tech[dot]Blog about the upgrade version of Windows Vista Ultimate being available for download for free! This is, of course, accidental and it seems to be links given to customers who buy Windows Vista through a third party company called DigtalRiver. There are 3 files that need to be downloaded: boot.wim, install.wim, X13-49120.exe. Ohh goodness, I have to get Windows Vista soon, if not for the better operating system, at least for the really cool animated desktop wallpapers that are now out there for Vista Ultimate! There is a piece of software called "DreamScapes" that extends Windows DreamScene, which I posted about earlier and you can read here, and gives it the ability to run a .Dream animated wallpapers.So you're wondering why would you care about these wallpapers? Well, simple because they are not only animated, but are also dynamic! In my last post, I was talking about how cool it would be if you could have a wallpaper that showed a beach with waves rushing onto the shore, etc. With this software and the files that people are creating, you can have that same shore with waves, but as it becomes later in the night, the sun starts to set on your beach also (this is an example, I don't know if they have that idea exactly!)!!!
