While the Windows Live Hotmail team is working on interesting new features they dropped another build on their servers that mostly covers backend stuff. The only change you will notice is the new WL Header with the MSN link that has found its way to most other Windows Live properties... Microsoft en estas últimas dos semanas ha demandado a dos empresas por enviar correos “no deseados” a los usuarios de Windows Live Hotmail, estos correos direccionaba a los usuarios a páginas pornográficas y de prestamos de dinero.
No se ha revelado la identidad de las empresas demandas, pero el servicio en detectar y localizar a los Spammers ha sido Webcast.

I’ve mentioned before of a possible launch date of Windows Live Hotmail in the US sometime in the second week of May and well it looks like I could be right, as according to sources familiar with the company’s plans Windows Live Hotmail will be launching this Monday the 7th of May 2007.
And though as of yet Microsoft have declined to comment through its public relations agency so it’s quite possible that this date could be wrong. I’m pretty positive of the Windows Live Hotmail launch date being Monday or at least next week.

Looks like Microsoft’s document recently titled “Improving E-mail Deliverability into MSN Hotmail and Windows Live Mail” has been updated to reflect some of the recent changes within Windows Live Hotmail, the document now titled “Improving E-mail Deliverability into Windows Live Hotmail” can be located here.

Microsoft has recently made a small adjustment to its Windows Live Hotmail unsubscribe function that should mean good things for marketers.
Microsoft last August answered e-mail marketers’ calls to include an unsubscribe button in its interface so consumers will be less likely to mistakenly report permission-based commercial e-mail as spam.
The unsubscribe link appears in place of the report-and-delete button on some e-mails in Windows Live Hotmail, the free e-mail service replacing classic Hotmail.
To get the unsubscribe button to appear, the marketer must add a piece of code to the headers of outbound e-mail. Instructions on how to do this can be found at www.list-unsubscribe.com. The sender must also be on the receiver’s safe list, or Sender Score Certified by deliverability firm Return Path.

In a weeks time, the 25th of April to be exact, Microsoft will finally launch Windows Live Hotmail in Spain (España). This exact date of when Windows Live Hotmail will launch in Spain (España) comes from a recent press inviatation that was sent out. In it also states “actualmente hay más de 9 millones de cuentas activas de Hotmail en España.” which translated means that there are currently more than 9 million active Hotmail accounts in Spain.
Quite a fair ammount of accounts, but what will they all be happy to recieve Windows Live Hotmail. I hope so. But I guess we will know for sure next week.

Windows Live Hotmail has just been launched in Belgium and India. These two countries join the Netherlands, with more rollouts expected over the next few weeks. The UK and France are the most likely to see the launch of Windows Live Hotmail next as selected beta testers from these countries have been informed that Windows Live Hotmail is currently in its last phase of beta testing and that they are looking to launch the new and improved Windows Live Hotmail in the next few weeks/days… The United States launch of Windows Live Hotmail is not too far of either with a launch coming in around the second week of May.
