Dorsey first made me aware of the big changes going on at Willow Creek. This is a huge deal. So many churches these days have pretty much borrowed the formula from them, while others out right stole every little thing they have done, and based their entire church structure on the Willow Creek method by having them be entirely seeker sensitive. Ummm, that's great, but what happens to them after they come in and start attending regularly? How will they grow if their church is meant only to get people in the door? That's the problem Willow found. Sure people were getting in the door and perhaps getting connected, but they weren't maturing. You may have numbers, but that can only do so much if the body stays immature. It makes me respect them all the more for realizing their mistakes.

The weeping willow (Salix babylonica) is perhaps one of the most common trees to see in parks with ponds full of ducks and geese. I have fond memories of standing on the edge of a pond feeding the ducks and occasionally a large swan with a majestic Weeping Willow tree on a small island as the backdrop. Willow Bends Jewelry is a small shop that specializes in beaded bracelets--bracelets that catch the light and sparkle with their delicate structure--and the designs come in several basic patterns. There are daisy chains in a variety of colors (the amethyst is my favorite), bracelets with netting (in iridescent pastels), and bracelets with multiple strands (like this one with four strands in beautiful blues and greens). But I'm saving my favorites for last. It was amazing to see how fearless these birds are. I could stand 1 meter away from the willow tit and photograph it. I was even able to use my flash, as they got used to it after a couple of shots. I have to try if they will eat from my hand. Notice the falling sunflower seed in bottom left corner of the first picture. The willow tit kept filling it’s small beak with lots of seeds, but some fell out I have been observing the birds as they hide seeds so they food during the winter. I been reading about the black capped chickadee (a bird living on the American continent that look very much like the willow tit) and it’s said that it can remember thousands of hiding spots.
