South Korean officials are saying that North Korea is willing take steps to end their nuclear arms program, which is great progress compared to the past few years.  Chun Yung-woo said that China could possibly draw up a draft agreement in as early as Thursday. Chun said “we have confirmed that there is a consensus among the countries that there must be an agreement on the early steps on implementing the September 19 joint statement at this round.”  This is talking about the agreement between five countries, on of them being North Korea, that in September 2005 where supposed to stop their nuclear arms program. I will be taking an all day pant fitting workshop with Cynthia Guffey in two days. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the pre-work required taking measurements, transferring them to the pattern, making the pattern adjustments, and then cutting out and sewing a completed pair of pants to take with me to class. So, bravely I began my journey. Had hubby help me take all of the required measurements. Spent quite a few hours measuring and marking my pattern pieces. I'm using Burda 3751. Some of the adjustments looked really funny to me, but trusting my measurements and her instructions I proceeded to cut out and sew up a muslin that I would use to test the fit before beginning work on the pant muslin for the class. Didn't make it to the serger dealer tonight (hubby had dinner to go to) but plan on going Thursday night to buy a serger. Looking at Elna, Babylock and Pfaff. I've never bought a good quality, new serger before. Is buying a serger like buying a car as far as wheeling and dealing? Will they come down in price alot from their asking price? I assume on a used one they probably wouldn't come down in price but I would think a brand new machine they would give some kind of a discount.
