Podemos ver como cambia la perspectiva de los objetos de la pantalla en función de la posición de la cabeza y de su propio movimiento. I should have bought one when I had the chance, and now I'm kicking myself. Reapareció despues de un tiempo el AIBO, después en julio algunos sitios anunciaron que esta mascota volvería a salir y ahora un grupo de investigadores le dieron una nueva vida. Por otro lado tenemos el revolucionario control de la consola Nintendo Wii, que se ha modificado en varias ocasiones para usarlo en el PC o controlar algún tipo de aparato electrónico, siendo esta última la utilidad en que fue usado ahora. Ecco alle terza ed ultima guida che riguarda l’ utilizzo del Wiimote sui più comuni Sistemi Operativi per PC. Dopo aver parlato di Windows e Mac OS, adesso parliamo di linux. Il discorso su Linux diventa molto più interessante, anche se necessita di alcune conoscenze di base riguardo questo potente OS. Ultimamente, sempre più spesso, si sente spesso parlare di reverse engineering del Wiimote su Linux, infatti sono parecchie le librerie sviluppate per questo scopo. Una risorsa interessante a riguardo la trovate su WiiLii. Solo alcune features sono state implementate, ma già con l’ utilizzo dei driver a disposizione si possono fare interessanti esperimenti. Tra i vari progetti troviamo: CWiid, WMD, Perlwiimote, libwiimote, lg3d-wii. Basta sceglierne uno di questi e poi installare le librerie che occorrono ed eventuali dipendenze. In un precedente articolo si parlava di come utilizzare il Wiimote su PC Windows, adesso parliamo di come ottenere lo stesso risultato su sistemi Mac.Le considerazioni sono le stesse, dunque dovete innanzitutto avere un bluetooth device compatibile e già installato. L’ unica cosa che cambia è il software di emulazione. Al posto di GlovePIE, dovrete usare DarwiinRemote. Anche questo ha inclusi vari script che vi agevoleranno nell’ utilizzo del vosto Wiimote sulle varie applicazioni Mac. Come molti già sanno, la tecnologia del controller telecomando Wii (Wiimote) è assolutamente innovativa, ma la cosa che sta riscuotendo grande successo in queste ultime settimane è la possibilità di usare il WiiMote sul PC, per gestire applicazioni e giocare. Ma cosa serve per fare ciò? Innanzitutto vi serve un bluetooth device compatibile e già installato. Successivamente dovete scaricare GlovePIE, un softaware di emulazione che ci permetterà con estrema facilità, di riconoscere il nostro Wiimote, come periferica wireless. Dopo averlo scaricato e installato, bisogna avviare la sincronizzazione. Per fare ciò basta premere contemporaneamente i tasti 1 e 2, che faranno lampeggiare i 4 LED celesti della periferica. A questo punto, se il vostro Bluetooth è attivo, il Wiimote verrà riconosciuto come “Nintendo RVL-CNT-01”, appartenente alla classe dei servizi HID (Human Interface Device) con un indirizzo Bluetooth che identifica univocamente il Wiimote. Molti di voi si saranno già chiesto come mai Nintendo non abbia ancora rilasciato una Power Station per ricaricare il Wiimote. Il video che riporto in questo post, è una dimostrazione, rilasciata da Yann Seznec, riguardo l’ uso del telecondo Wii, per manipolare il loop di tracce audio in tempo reale. L’ esperimento è stato effettuato su un Mac OS, con l’ ausilio di un programma, da lui stesso sviluppato, chiamato Wii loop machine. Seznec, dopo una lunga premessa, ci mostra come sia assolutamente semplice utilizzare questo software: basta effetuare dei movimenti per interferire nell’ esecuzione del loop. Praticamente potrete fare scratching, beat juggling o qualunque altra divoleria da DJ vi venga in mente, con l’ uso esclusivo del Wii mote.
