Hi,If you are a Mumbai local, I am sure you would have visited Westside - one of the famous retail shops. I happened to bump into their store in Andheri(W) Infinity Mall and to my surprise, when I gave my credit card for swipe, they swiped it twice. :( - Once on the processing machine and second on his computer.I asked the fellow, "Why are u swiping my card twice?"He replies, "Sir, we need to store your card information for tallying it at the end of day."I was really disturbed by this. They stored my name, card number and expiry date. Only thing remaining was the CCV number. Remember this is generally a 3 or 4 digit number usually at the back of the card.I am surprised that these merchants are allowed to store credit card information. No PCI compliance required ??I felt like calling up the media - Mumbai Mirror, DNA or Times and yelling them that see these guys....what are they upto ?? Why the hell are they storing credit card information and if they need it, why is is not encrypted??

Dubai property owners are gearing up for the new Strata Law, likely to be implemented shortly.As a preparation for the forthcoming introduction of the law, the residents of Westside Marina Building, along with the support of their developer, Tulip Developments, have signed a joint submission from AUAE Strata Global and Better Homes to manage the property and homeowners association of the building.As per law, the developers will handover the ownership and control of common areas of the building, rather than handing over just the individual units.At the moment, property owners have legal ownership only on the actual unit purchased by them, and have no claim on common areas such as the gym or the pool. The new law will divide the common areas by the number of units and will handover an equal share of every owner.Through Strata, ownership, management and maintenance will be in the hands of the homeowners, and it will be their responsibility thereafter to ensure that these areas are managed

west of the Cascade Mountains' crest) primarily for wood production, but because of mandate or personal preference, want to
integrate wildlife values. The audience included over 150 professionals from forest industry, consulting firms, and public and
tribal forest and wildlife management agencies. This proceedings includes ten papers based on oral presentations at the workshop
plus a synthesis paper summarizing workshop themes, discussions, and related information. Topics include a history of wildlife
management research in the Pacific Northwest, elements of habitat and how to manage for them, the challenges of appropriately
implementing ecosystem management, and economic implications to private forestland owners
