Tiger is a lovely gelding with classic Welsh head and conformation. He is a gorgeous flat-kneed, hunter mover with 4 high stockings, a gleaming palomino coat, and a blaze. Tiger is sweet and curious, and his color and movement make him unforgettable. He will make a very fancy child's pony.

This is a golden colt with a golden pedigree. You would be hard pressed to find a better pedigree in the UK today. Conaire's reads like the who's who in the Welsh World today. Strange that there are 3 non-government Assembly Members among the winners of ITV's Welsh Political Awards, and the website of the National Assembly for Wales only manages to announce Dafydd Elis-Thomas as a winner.Just who clears press releases from the National Assembly these days? Seems clear to me who runs the show at the Senedd.

The Sessile Oak (species: Quercus petraea) also goes by the common names Welsh Oak or Durmast Oak. The name "sessile" comes from the fact that the acorn is attached directly to the branch without a stem. The common name "Welsh Oak" is used in Wales where it is the national tree. I´m not sure where the "Durmast" name comes from other than that it can refer to several oak species and might be a

The CwrtThe Cwrt is the place in the Senedd just outside the Members Tea Room where most of the plotting and skullduggery tends to take place.OK, so I probably should have got out years ago and I probably have an unhealthy appetite for Welsh political gossip. It was going to be catching, like a disease of the 1800's. MPs at Westminster got to study the "John Lewis List" and thought that all their Christmasses had come at once. Now the AMs in Cardiff are getting in on the act.How many jobs give you the description that says "generous expenses including £2,000 sofas and £1,000 surround-sound TVs"? Very few, I'd say. The only ones are the jobs for those

I had an exchange with Tom Watson MP, who launched the debate that lead to eventual creation of the Principles for Participation Online for Civil Servants, before my interview with Radio Wales.
In my first post, I said:
I wonder if I can get a statement from Tom Watson by 5:00pm that the Principles for Online Participation apply in Wales as well as England?
This article is to look at Tom's reply
Welsh terrier dogs were originally bred as hunting dogs. However, this

to outdo each other by developing the Welsh terrier dogs’ wiry coats

This is an amazing piece of questionnaire truthfulness. Three members of the Welsh Assembly have disclosed that they have been raped. This was in a questionnaire set to AM colleagues by Nerys Evans of Plaid Cymru. She sent it to all 60 AMs, but only eight responded. Sanddef made this comment on Liberal Conspiracy yesterday, in a conversation about blogs getting - or not getting - media attention in Wales:
At least news that spring from blogs get a mention in the English press; in the Welsh media this is not the case, despite the fact that political news and comment is pretty much run by and dependent on the blogosphere here.

WELSH voters have been urged to vote in the May elections amid fears that the British National Party (BNP) could otherwise make substantial gains. All councils in Wales will be holding elections on May 1.This week, Alun Hughes, national secretary of the Communist Party of Wales, said he was extremely concerned that the BNP could make gains in May.“They are making huge inroads, especially in north east Wales. They have been saying that they are more nationalist than Plaid Cymru [the Welsh national party] and people are falling for that, which is dangerous,” warned Dr Hughes. He added that he thought the BNP may make considerable gains in some parts of Wales, such as Wrexham and Cardiff, in the elections.“I’m concerned that they might do quite well in certain parts of Wales, and many

If you live in the UK you will be aware of the current situation in Wales, which is grabbing the headlines where twenty-one young people have died of suspected suicide in the last year. The people of Britain and the police have been left scratching their heads to what the reason could be for so many young people taking their lives. One suicide a year is unacceptable so to lose twenty-one young lives is a tragedy. Now the Police may be doing their bit but to work out why these tragedies occurred but it is up to the people of the UK to do more to make sure their deaths were not in vain.Teenagers need more support than they are getting. During your teenage years you are asked to deal with emotions and experiences, which you aren’t ready to deal with, and it can be one of the most frightening

Remy is a yearling that is currently 13'3 plus, that is absolutely beautiful and loves people. He will make a very fancy large hunter pony and will be ready to break in the spring when he turns two. I am currently working with him on the lunge line and lots of ground work so I can take him to some winter shows to show in hand. I am getting completely out of the pony business since my daughter went to college this year and am going to buy myself a horse, otherwise he would be a keeper. I am currently measuring him at 13'3 so I expect he will be top of the line large, definetly not over since his father is 13'2 Imported Welsh Stallion and his mother is a 14'1 Arabian Mare.
Super sweet, friendly, and cute purebred Welsh Pony. Champion sire/bloodline. Nice/correct conformation with a goreous head. Pretty mover. Has been ponied on trails, longed, saddled, bridled, etc. Ready to start under saddle...should be a peice of cake. He's been proffesionally handled from birth and LOVES people/affection. Clips/ties/hauls. 100 sane, sound, and healthy. CAN HOLD/DELIVER FOR CHRISTMAS!!!
This flashy strawberry roan loves kids and can't get enough of jumping!! Super sweet and fun to be around. This pony does anything you want... loads, clips, all the necessary manners! He goes x-country and has shown the local hunter shows. He has taught intermediate lessons. But his most favorite thing to do is go to the jumper shows!!! His form over fences is stunning. You could put a level on his knees and he is so tight that his ankles almost disappear!!! Sound and low maintenance, Jasper is the perfect pony. We have too many horses and not enough time. This pony is no where near his true potential!! Current on shots and worming.
Peter Ho Davies’s first novel, The Welsh Girl, offers a look at a rather unique World War II home front, the Welsh countryside. The more nationalistic residents of Wales have resented their English occupiers for generations and the onset of a World War in which they struggled for their very survival was not necessarily going to lessen that resentment even though their young men fought along side

This Helen Welsh shopper just might be the perfect bag. The size makes it ideal for everyday because you can stuff all your junk in it, but the croc-embossed leather makes it easy to dress up for nighttime. It’s a pretty luxurious purse–it’s the kind of purse that’ll get you lots of approving glances. Plus, I love when a handbag has lots of pockets as this one does, in addition to three inside compartments.
Lovely!

According to Times Online, a rare invention will hit the eBay market soon, thanks to the master chef & historian Tom Bridge. Bridge has reinvented the Welsh rarebit and it is not a wee bit rarer at $605 a slice. The Welsh rarebit snack dates from the 18th century and is also known as toasted cheese or cheese on toast. The snack is made by blending grated cheese with beer or a little milk and butter adding some seasoning (usually mustard) and spreading the mixture onto hot toast and then grilled. The cheeses most often used in the Welsh rarebit are Lancashire, Cheddar or Double Gloucester. Tom Bridge will use the finest of ingredients for his Welsh rarebit, including Umbrian truffles and matsutake mushrooms which are so valuable that they are harvested under armed guard. Bridge has opted to use Warburtons Toastie bread and Lancashire cheese. The chef will be just in time for National Cheese on Toast Day on April 27. A version of the snack is to be auctioned on eBay and the winner

Missy Mandy are a charming pair of 1/2 sisters who are well matched, and have been driving for 2 1/2 years now after Mandy foaled a beautiful son in 2004. They were broke by the Amish in 2004, and currently being driven by a 71 year old teamster. They pull in unison and love to trot down the road. They are not for beginner drivers because of their energy and alertness when on a trail drive, but this same energy is the same motor that keeps them going and going - little horses with big motors.. They seem to love doing parades: tractors, fire engines, vehicles, balloons, people milling about do not appear to bother them. They are the most loving little horses, catch anywhere, shoe well, load well, etc. Will stand for hours to be loved on, groomed, petted, etc. They were broke to ride 2 1/2 yrs ago but haven't been ridden due to the fact that we only drive. Healthy and in excellent flesh. Missy Mandy are registered in the Haflinger Half-Blood Registry Of America, which is now onlin

Penny is an energetic pony, a cute mover, and a great jumper. She does flying lead changes and never refuses a jump. She requires an assertive rider (no beginners or fearful riders except just ride/walking or on a lead or lungeline) as she can be opinionated. But if the rider is assertive, this pony is good as gold. Bathes, fly-sprays, clips, stands for vet farrier nicely, trailer loads hauls. Penny has had one foal and she is an excellent broodmare. With her solid black color and jumping ability, she is a good mare to breed to a sporthorse pony to get an awesome pony athlete. Penny qualifies to be registered with the American Quarter Pony Association. Her tail was chewed off by a calf, but it has grown quickly and it should be back to normal length in a few months.
6 year old Welsh Pony mare used for 4-H and misc. fun shows. We purchased Dolly 2 years ago for our youngest daughter, who has moved up to a bigger pony. Dolly was purchased from our neighbor who also used her for 4-H. She is 12.1 hands high, and sorrel in color. Dolly has her current coggins, shots, worming, and has had regular farrier service. She has a sweet freindly personality and would be great for beginners. We would like to get 1200 for her, but would consider offers. Please e-mail us at fordfan@hughes.net or call at 651-492-9053.
First of all, the Welsh Blog Awards I talked about on Saturday that were due to end on Sunday now end next Friday. I think because some categories are struggling under the sheer brilliance that is my blog. Keep voting for me, and I will not spoil the end of Harry Potter 8. Yes, there is an eighth book, the last word is “bangable” (thanks to my namesake for nominating me!).
Speaking on Harry Potter: it’s official, After spending the weekend getting stats, I can confirm you lot are addicted to Harry Potter, and forsaked this blog to instead read JK Rowling’s latest offering. You were probably aware about it, you selfish bastards. As me whinging probably won’t convey the statistical raping this blog took over the weekend, allow me to present it in graph form.
It’s a lot. It usually drops down to around to 350 at weekends, but this weekend was much lower (Sunday was around 250, Monday was 600). Did anybody else in bloggerdom have their stats Avada

I mean, lets be honest, my design is pretty swish, so if you would like to show appreciation for my design, why not vote for me?
