      Black Wednesday
I had a couple of things I wanted to blog on tonight, but I will put them off until tomorrow. Today was a very hard day for me as four people I work with were laid off from the company I work for.Now you may not think that laying off four people is that big a deal, but when the company only employs eleven people, it's a significant move and a move that came out of left field. I watched first as

What a bizarre story. Robert Daniels apparently died in the fire he started at the home he lived in on the 1300 block of West 25th Street. Daniels got into a domestic dispute with the women he lived with. The woman went to the police station after being beaten by Daniels. She warned them that Daniels was armed. When police arrived at the home around 4:30 am he opened fire with a hunting rifle. Sho

I decided to trade stock futures today for the first time in a long time. Stupid idea. I took a fast $200 lost and it messed with my mind for the rest of the day. I had a total of 3 trade setups in the futures. I took the first one and lost. I then decided not to take the other two which both would have been positive. Any way I found it to be a hard day to trade.-The numbers:Stocks: gross +7

Amazingly, neither driver was hurt. The interstate was re-opened at about 8:30 pm. It wasn't until 10 pm that traffic flow was back to normal in

Another one got away. This is a big mouth stock. I was hoping to short it around 33 at 8 am. The bid/ask was 32.30 and 33.00 so I put my short order in at 32.90. I waited 15 minutes and cancelled it. A couple of shares trades at 32.30 then 32.75. I sat there with time slipping away. I had a company Christmas party to get to. Then minutes later I saw more shares go at 32.78 and then 32.80.
