A tanker ship carrying 50,000 liters of diesel oil capsized and spilled its content into the sea off East Java province Tuesday. The incident occurred when the Karisma Selatan tanker owned by local shipping firm PT Pasifik Selatan was filling in the diesel fuel at the Tanjung Perak Port in the provincial capital of Surabaya. No one was injured in the incident, which disturbed traffic in the country's second largest port, reported the national Antara news agency. A gratefully received return to normality with the visit of Wigan Athletic to The Emirates this afternoon. With the number of walking wounded growing this week, it is the opportunity for some ‘fringe’ players to make Arsene think twice about his team selection. That might be overly optimistic for those replacing Hleb and Fabregas but I feel the central midfield position is still ‘up for grabs’. I mean no disrespect to Mathieu Flamini in positing that thought. Arguably this season he has been the most improved player thus far. Possibly that is more to do with playing in his favoured position but the maturity of his play is a step forward from previous appearances in midfield. For whatever reason, he has not looked comfortable when asked to fill in one of the wide positions, left or right, in previous seasons.  However this season, he has shown the form that Arsene knew he was capable of.   It is more the pecking order behind him currently that can be changed.

While many monofilaments and braided lines are visible, the use of Fluorocarbon leaders makes the connection between you and your bait invisible. While a “normal” length leader might be a couple of feet long, increasing the length of your leader to 4 or 5 feet will give you an added measure of stealth. Unwary fish are more likely to bite, and longer casts, longer leaders, and the use of a good fluorocarbon material, such as Hi-Seas will give you the stealth edge that may help you catch more fish.

Their sights were set on a Pacific Blue Marlin but day one proved that successful marlin fishing requires a dash of lady luck. Though large schools of small skipjack tuna were found, the billfish remained elusive.Their perseverance paid off however on day two when a nice blue of about 250lbs ignored the bent butt 80s and smashed a brown & orange MBT lure set on a stand-up 50lbs class outfit. Today Hurricane Flossie is around 875 miles east-southeast of Hawaii, but the people of Hawaii will be glad to here the news that Hurricane Flossie will be weakened as it moves over cooler ocean waters and should turn into a tropical storm. The Satellite image you can see above shows Hurricane Flossie’s position relative to Hawaii and on early Wednesday or late Tuesday it should reach Hawaii. Waves of 8 to 12 feet should be seen on the Hawaii southeastern shores, so this is good news for the people of Hawaii as things may of been a lot worse.
