After a bit of a hiatus W.S.W. is back, and in todays edition I thought I would add to the quickly growing list by giving you some more services that you can use all from that handheld of yours….
Frog offers a customized homepage for your QWERTY device. Pictured below, you can select from a number of different categories for a total of 9 selectable links and several custom color options. Once set up (via PC) a link is then sent to your phone which you can then save as your homepage.
A neat idea for those links you visit often, however not all (or even many) QWERTY devices are supported yet.
Google Calendar has also gone mobile! By going to calendar.google.com from your phones browser you can bring up the same calendar you use in Google but with a mobile friendly interface.

I’ll be honest it was a bit difficult coming up with wap sites this week so in case you have not heard, Twitter has gone mobile.
The social networking site where everyone can keep track of what you are doing now offers a mobile site alternative. Sure to save you on texting in your status. Check it out at http://m.twitter.com and if you want to know what I am doing check the lower left corner of the sidebar.
A full assortment will be back next Wednesday.

Traffic ever a problem in your area? Ok when isn’t it a problem is probably the better question. Well aside from the fender bender that could cause the unusual delay, most places have traffic for sometimes no reason each and everyday. So putting that to use, I went on a search for some ways to gather more information on delays while stuck in that horrendous commute.
Traffic.com
mobi.traffic.com Offers a very comprehensive look at many expressways in major metro areas. Using a easy to view bar, you can quickly see how bad the delay is or see the top congested areas in your area.
Weather.com
xhtml.weather.com/xhtml/ Has more than just weather, who knew? Not as detailed, but does show an area map with color coded information. Also lists some detail on accidents.
ViewTraffic
viewtraffic2.net/ Does exactly what the title states. Gives you the ability to view traffic cameras on major expressways. This site is pda recommended and a high speed connection would be preferred.
And since we are using are cell phones and pda’s more than ever for information, why not have sites where we can gather……well more information.

Here in the US, shopping, or using your cell phone to pay for items, has just not caught on as it has in Europe, and while the US is slowly trying to catch up and with the banking industry finally showing some intrest, I thought I would dedicate this edition of WSW to the shopping niche of the wap market.
