A ideia partiu da artista canadiana Melanie Coles. Desde o passado mês de Março que, algures no Canadá, mais precisamente na cidade de Vancouver, existe um enorme desenho de Waldo com quase 20 metros realizado na cobertura de uma casa. Não vale a pena andar na rua a olhar para cima uma vez que só é visível do céu, nomeadamente dos satélites do Google Earth. É este o jogo e não se julgue que é fácil. É necessário percorrer toda a área da cidade de Vancouver com a aplicação sem que o misterioso personagem apareça. Tudo depende da data de actualização das imagens. Logo no início deste blog, um ano atrás, escrevi um post em tom de brincadeira falando da utilização de telhados para propaganda no Google Maps ou Google Earth. Uma artista canadense chamada Melanie Coles teve uma idéia muito mais espirituosa, e relançou a brincadeira do Onde está Wally (Waldo no resto do mundo) de uma forma totalmente inusitada - pintou o boneco em um telhado de Vancouver, Canadá. Fica lançado o desafio em uma escala nunca antes imaginada - procure por Wally em qualquer parte do mundo, e comece pintando Wally no telhado de sua casa ou escola!

Busca a Wally con Google Earth Melanie Coles es una estudiante canadiense que ha decidido presentar un curioso proyecto para su graduación. Con la ayuda de sus amigos, Melanie ha fabricado un gigantesco Wally de 15 metros y lo ha colocado en el tejado de un edificio cualquiera de Vancouver.
