The totally redesigned Subaru Impreza WRX STi was officially released by Subaru yesterday. After a trio of teasers released throughout the month and the month before, Subaru decided to turn on the lights in their photo studio for the complete release of the highly-anticipated car. The new WRX STi is all-wheel drive just like its 4-door predecessor.
The nee WRX STi is powered by an exclusive 2.0L
Subaru likes to play tricks with its enthusiasts and it has been evident for the last few days. With two teaser images of the redesigned Impreza WRX STi already released, Subaru only heated the suspense with a third teaser image of the car. Showing the front 3/4 view of the car, we can vaguely shape how it's going to look like in our heads now. The WRX STi will be powered by a 2.5L 4-cylinder
Although you only can see the 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI completely debut on 2007 Tokyo Motor Show next month, here we give out the first official image of the 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI.Clearly seen is the 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI’s new hood scoop and pumped fenders as well as the new front bumper, which contains a pair of fog lights and side vents. Previous spy shots of the car revealed an integrated rear-diffuser and a quad-exhaust tailpipe arrangement at the rear. Most sources agree the new Subaru STI will develop up to 300hp (224kW) and 450Nm of torque from its turbocharged boxer engine. There’s no word if STI engineers will be able to match Mitsubishi’s new Evo with their own dual-clutch gearbox. The U.S. market is expected to receive a 2.5L engine while Japan and Europe will make do with a 2.0L mill.Recent Posts of Global Auto/Motor Show:+ Volkswagen Dieselution Tour Educating U.S Consumers Greener Technology+ Toyota’s Lexus May Add More Powerful Hybrids+ Mitsubishi L
Subaru has issued a teaser shot of its eagerly-anticipated new Impreza WRX STI which debuts at the Tokyo Motor Show on 24 October. And while the image itself is darkly-lit for a sense of drama, enough is revealed to show the car to be substantially diff..글 전체보기
Though Subaru engineers took careful measures to ensure their Impreza WRX STi tester wasn't spotted en route to the Nurburgring or at the track's staging area, eventually the car cover had to come off. It appears Subaru engineers were forced to unveil the production body of the new STi in order to test how the final form affects cooling. Though we just showed you this official teaser shot of the STi, these spy shots show the car outside in perfect light where every detail of the new design is cleary visible. Aside from some black tape, the blue STi underneath is practically naked. Note what appear to be air extractor vents or intake scoops on the sides of the front bumper, a design element we weren't entirely aware of before. We can also clearly see the rear wing now, which is less ostentatious than we were hoping. The STi has always been known for sporting an obnoxious rear wing, but it looks like that tradition will end with the 2008 model.

DescriptionSpecific: Front Lip SpoilerFRP General: -Front Spoilers are the first point to receive airflow resistance; the design of the front spoiler determines the final handling of the vehicle. The GRACER front spoilers are designed to reduce airflow going beneath the vehicle and also direct air to critical areas such as the radiator and intercooler. While driving air turbulence occurs around the front tire, this turbulence can disturb airflow all the way to the back of the vehicle, where it can reduce the function of the rear spoiler. The GRACER Side Skirt is designed to smooth out the air turbulence towards the back of the vehicle, to achieve safe handling of the vehicle. The GRACER Rear Spoiler is not just another cosmetic rear spoiler, in addition to enhancing the appearance of the vehicle it was also designed to be extremely functional. GRACER Aero Kits are designed to give maximum down force and airflow effect to maximum performance form the original body style.

The 2008 Subaru Impreza has been glimpsed in pictures, but now we have a glimpse of the 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI.Illustrations published in Japan show confirm that the unpopular propeller motif inspired by the company's aviation heritage has been replaced by a more conventional look. Andreas Zapatinas, former design director at Subaru, had developed the aviation theme in reaction to the bold grilles now fashionable in Europe, but a poor reaction in the marketplace led to his departure last summer. For 2008, a new hatchback model will join the Impreza lineup, a reaction to the recent comeback by this configuration as seen in trendy examples like the Audi A3 and Mazdaspeed 3 five-door. We hear there's a new multi-link independent rear suspension under both the hatchback and the sedan. The 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI will be a hatchback, just like the 2007 Subaru WRC rally car. The intercooled and turbocharged, 2.0-liter flat-four engine will produce 300 horsepower, although the engi
