There is exactly one place where my budget is regularly left in tatters — and it’s not the shoe store.
I confess, I have a hairdresser problem… but not with the cut, or the color, or the super-sleek blowdry. The only problem with my hairdresser is the bill.
My hair is currently Expensive Blonde, and it’s really living up to its name — it costs a small fortune to keep it looking that way.
To be more specific, my hair colorist wrecks my budget almost every time I visit; the cost of a cut or a blowdry is fairly predictable.
Each time I go to my colorist, I try to convince her to do something cheap, but not cheap-looking. Each time, I fail.
“Do the bare minimum to keep it looking good”, I say.
“I’ll do a three-quarter head of gorgeous super-fine foils in artful wedge arrangements this time, and next time you’ll barely need anything done at all”, she says in reply.
The results are stunning, but so is the bill.
